I got a notice from thechosenprime.com that it was going to be in stock in 3 days on 11/27... But so far it still hasn't showed up as in stock there. I wonder if their shipment got delayed or something?

Gravestone’s backpack kibble is pretty unsightly, but after poring over images of Capone he fails to impress except for how clean he is. So I’ll be finishing out the set, and quite happy to do so.

Menasor is not supposed to be menacing because of the total price people spend in obtaining various versions of him.

Everyone’s collection in 3 years will have a whole detolf full of Menasors and then a second Detolf for everything else

I think the fact that we’re all conflicted and some people are buying them all means you probably can’t go wrong, they’re all pretty good.

On the plus side XTB is cheapest and more available than FT so you can always change your mind later

it will be 2025 by the time Fanstoys gets their menasor completed. XTB are well ahead of them in terms of completion

Is 49 cm still the confirmed height? If so he'll scale perfectly with Zeta Superion.

Really? I don't think it's that bad. Roadking looks pretty big by comparison. I mean, gravestone does have a backpack but the angles and mass looks fairly natural, like it's just a bulky robot. I think the mass majority of figures in my collection have some form of backpack so I don't feel this is much outa place, but hey we all have our preferences.

Not speaking for @Pessimus Prime (despite our similar avatars), but my disappointment with Gravestone's backpack is that it exists at all. DX9 managed to turn the cab and a section of trailer into a super-clean robot. Roadking's backpack is more forgivable because he turns into the entire truck and trailer.

I'm still finishing the set, though. I'm not that disappointed.

DX9 just has other glaring issues like odd looking skate boot feet, gorilla arms and a one piece hip skirt that are all there from any angle you display at.

I'd take a very slight backpack that's only really noticeable if you display your figures backwards over those 3 any day but I might just be odd.

Totally agreed. On the shelf and on display they're barely noticeable. Not just those Takara figures but the likes of FT Roadking too.

It is what it is. Beauty is we have so many options then ppl can decide what is a bigger deal breaker considering most options of most figures do things in different ways.

The reason we have that backpack on Gravestone is the SAME reason we have that glorious, clean, unpanelly CAB.
It's a trade off I have NO qualms in making!

This. I'm amused that he will look very similar to the various Nemesis Primes in alt mode, yet manage to look radically different to them in bot mode.

XTB Gravestone uses an odd transformation design. The closest thing I can think of is old G1 Huffer where the front of the truck folds up and on to his back... almost like a hermit crab with a shell on his back. Not sure why XTB went this route coupled with the MP-22 shoulder sockets that tab on to the sides. Some unusual choices to be sure.

I too would have preferred a cleaner back for Gravestone.
