Disney is the Microsoft of the movie business, yet, monopolies are common in the movie and music business, with Disney being the most visible and hungry right now. . .

Uh, pretty fucking well with one disappointing movie, that I honestly thought was pretty good when I actually saw it.

Not to light the powder keg again, but between Solo and the extremely divisive reception of TLJ (you either liked it or you didn't, there is no middle ground from what I can tell), combined with RoS not looking so hot, we'll find out how well Star Wars is doing next month.

Granted, The Mandalorian sounds like it's actually doing everything right, but RoS is where everything will be decided.

They care about cash. Force Awakens, Rogue One and Last Jedi made bank. Solo didn’t, it was the disappointment by the only measure any one in a position of power at Disney gives a fuck about.

You are correct, Rise of Skywalker will decide the fate of Star Wars moving forward, absolutely no argument there. Guess we’ll see in a month or so.

I know. But what I mean is that there's literally many talented people who trully amaze me with how coherent their stories are. Take TFI Creations for example. The guy's personal story is very emotional too. I wish someday people like him could actually work on a great movie. And I'm not saying direct it but be a part of the creating process.

I enjoyed the last several Star Wars movies, and I'm looking forward to the next one. Star Wars under Disney hasn't been perfect, but then again Star Wars was never "perfect" under George Lucas, either.

    But there weren't any songs.

Woah woah woah I'm not a fan of Marvel but that's a very interesting opinion of the MCU.

The fans would never agree on anything

Or if they did agree on something, it would be a G1 styled movie set entirely on Cybertron. Likely with lots of character deaths.

Then there'll be people saying that the show needs humans to keep the movie more relatable.

Even though the bots themselves can be just as relatable while at the same time being alien robots.

Except Transformers isn’t just a toyline. It had, as of 2007, plenty of narrative based entertainment sources to draw from to create a movie as has been the case with most adaptational works. The whole enterprise is in support of a toyline this is true, but it isn’t like Bay and his team were asked to create something out of thin air. That hard work has already been done in the early 80s.

I agree, not sure what I said that implied I didn't. Either way, sifting through 25 years (at the time) of material to find what's best for a single 2 hour movie is difficult.

Disney is more or less licensing almost every toy to hasbro. If Disney was interested in making toys, they would have done it ages ago.

    Disney buying Transformers, no thanks.

also Bumblebee is better than any of their Star Wars movies have been thus far. Compared to the MCU i'd say half of the MCU is better than Bumblebee but still.
