A DTV animated movie or miniseries? Maybe. I mean they did that Prime movie to wrap everything up.

I'd like to reiterate that anyone saying a WFC film wouldn't work because nobody wants it clearly hasn't talked to many people about it. Tonnes of people unfamiliar with Transformers whom I recommended BB to consider the Cybertron scenes the best. It's visually stunning with an 80s aesthetic that's really marketable right now. If you don't have anyone outside of this forum to talk to, just go to the YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram comments on any trailer or promotional material for this film and you'll find an overabundance of even normies asking for a Cybertron film.

Saying you need relatable human characters or people won't see it just shows a lack of your own imagination. An ambitious sci-fi filmmaker would find ways to make relatable non-human characters that are endearing and marketable just like G1.

I've heard people saying the 1986 film bombed as an argument. Wow. A 34-year-old film is your reference point for today's market. Genius.

And a Cybertron-only film is already a priority right now. Look up Paramount's docket and you'll find tonnes of articles about it. They know it's a good card to play and they're gonna play it.

There are certain people on this forum who thinks they're somehow special because they "get" Transformers better than general audiences and that the masses are too dumb to understand a WFC film like they would. Good thing film studios don't look on forums like this to hear what us special people have to say or the film industry would be even worse than it is. Man, I've heard some bad film ideas on this forum, myself included in retrospect.

Erm I'm pretty sure MTMTE is quite popular. I remember some website said it was one of the best comics of 2015. Or was it 2016. Either way, MTMTE made IDWs transformers more popular

Talking animls have been a common thing in mythology, fairy tales and children's stories since for ever.
Anthropomorphic robots is a relative new thing.

personally I think the biggest obstacle is not if humans are able to relate to giant human like robots. But are the majority of none fan moviegoers able to relate or connect to the settings.

I think a War for Cyberswamp film with Ogrebots battling the evil forces of the Deshrekticons could be more Shrek-citing!

Sorry, but anthropomorphic robots aren’t new. Ever hear of Myth Of Talos? The robot even produce a tear. Here’s a video of it

The idea of AI and robots are nothing new. It’s a concept that dates back hundreds of years of ago, if not longer.

And even if robots who act like people were a new thing, then so what. That’s no excuse not to take risk and to give it a try. If done right, then even the general audiences will relate to the transformers. I say give it try.

There is a excuse. It's not us who makes the decisions. But the movie studios. Who would rather take a risk on sequels and remakes. Then a movie about an alien war on a alien planet. And it's them you need to convince. Not people on a fan forum who would watch it anyway.

Talos. There is two interpretations about his origin. One that he was created by Hephaestus. And could be an automaton.
The other is that he is the last living of the Bronze Men, created by zeus during the Bronze Age. Personally I doubt the Bronze Men theory.

But Michael Bay missed a gem here for the last knight. :)

You could call it a prototype to modern men.
Automatons or Golems in mythology you can count on two hands. There are some in Asia, Egypt and Israel. (even a few in Christian europe).
Stories about talking animals you have more then you can count.
And the majority of movie goers have grown up with such stories through fairy tales. Almost none of us have grown up with mythological stories about automatons. Mecha cartoons yes, fairy tales and mythology no.

it is a concern, not a question. The reason why many none fan moviegoers like movies like TF, godzilla and similar is due to the destruction of human urban areas. There is just something in watching the destruction of cities.
I don't know how interesting it would be to watch alien buildings on a alien planet crumble for an entire movie.

IDW was referenced here and there in Bayformers, just not MTMTE. And MTMTE was and is starting to get immensely popular with new and old Transformers fans. Lindsay Ellis put up an article about how More Than Meets the Eye and Lost Light were essentially the better sci-fi comics this decade more than even Star Trek.

Most of us didn’t grow up with mythologies about robots, but I still say it’s start with the younger generation. I don’t know how they can convince the general audiences to see the movie.

Yes, but there will be budget issues due to a full 2 or 1 hour CGI movie, maybe they can just do something like Pixar does.
