Here's a quick pic of it with Quantron. They feel completely different. The WJ combiner is chunky and fairly simply designed. Quantron feels more delicate and is much more fiddly. I feel like I'm going to cut myself on Quantron sometimes. I like them both for completely different reasons. I don't think I'm going to have this team combined very often.

Interesting.... The pictures for the one I bought on eBay match the first white color scheme (or at least they did before your picture vanished). But because tracking shows it processed through ISC Chicago almost 2 weeks ago, I’m starting to get a bit concerned.

 

One of those red/white color schemes is an earlier prototype is my guess. I remember Show.Z used them for a real early pre-order listing, before the final colors (aka blue Afterburner set) were shown.

 

That White Red version 2 was a prototype and wasn't released. It was shown back on page 9 of this thread well before the release. A group called First Party Toys was going to put out a version colored based on Beast Wars characters but it looks like that project is on hold.

 

Hey guys. I broke my blue afterburner. I was rotating his leg panel and it just snapped off the pin. Would anybody be willing to sell me theirs? It doesn't have to be the blue one, although I would prefer it to be.

Then why don't u just buy another afterburner? It's pretty cheap on Aliexpress. $13 with freeshipping

Thanks. I've looked up aliexpress on the board here, and I don't really trust it. They don't take paypal, and Uncle Billy and the others don't have him. I'll just put some funds aside and buy another set from Showz.

 

AliExpress is reliable. They will only release payment to the vendor once you have confirmed receiving the order, or after certain time period had lapsed. If you put in a dispute they will usually rule in your favour and refund you, especially if the vendor decides not to respond. As someone else mentioned, ShowZ themselves have a store in AliExpress. Stick to the more well known sellers. I have had sellers send me an entirely new figure (a Figma KO) to replace one that was broken during transport, and include replacement parts for an older purchase when I put in a new order.

Uncle Billy used to have a store there but I believe he either moved on due to the fees or was shut down during one of those copyright crackdowns in China in the past. Sarah Zhang still has her store there (GiftLove Store), though she has her own website now.

I really like the figures and I was a bit disappointed with the second deco they released. I was just thinking what else they could be used for (or what a better deco might be) and it occurred to me that they could make cool Gobot homages. Not toon-accurate, of course, but with a little paint or parts-swapping, some added bits, and maybe some replacement heads, I mean.

The 'bike' could be a pretty cool Cy-Kill. Beefy, futuristic, and without a wonky sense of scale.
The car has an obvious Turbo vibe already.
The drill could make a good Screwhead.
The fighter already has sort of a Fitor vibe, despite the pontoon design.
Still not sure about the "Scattershot" gunship. Leader-1 and Spay-C come to mind, but it's a bit of a stretch.

Just idle thoughts this morning.
