Not bad. Not bad at all. I would like if Bee was smaller, but they promised a Deluxe line so I can deal with it. Nothing looks too simple or compromised, though it does create some snickering.
It's kinda funny after all the work around other Shockwaves had, this one just makes it a weapon wrapped around a normal arm.
Was that the BEST place to store Optimus' blast effect in alt-mode? Rocket Boost did not come to mind.

 

Until now I haven't been all that interested in the Cyberverse toys (if they weren't overly gimmick ed they were boxy or unarticulated or inaccurate in some way) But these actually look decent, I may get them.

 

You can ask why any super minor character or non tv character should get a release then Tigatron. Why should Runabout and Runamok get releases? Why should Shuffler? Why should Stormshot? Nightbird has been in 1 episode and people snap her up and her prices start to rise soon after.

Why shouldn't Maccadam get a regular release? 13 Collectors will want him without having to spend more for figs. Kids and casual collectors might like the look of him. Plus Cyberverse is a bit overpriced and low quality.

Imagine how limited and tiresome TF would be if Hasbro only stuck with big names?

 

you're twisting what i said. in the entirety of transformers macaddam is more or less a non character. even his ties to the 13 as alchemist prime are tenuous and not concrete. hell your post is acting like he's not getting a figure at all

 

The one thing I wish was that they had Maccadam transform in some way regardless of being a BAF.

Although he only did once and shown as a shadow, it looked like he actually got bigger and popped out weapons instead of actually transforming, so having pop out weapons at the very least on the BAF would have been greatly appreciated.

 

How am I twisting what you say? I answered your question with a question. A figure does not hafta be a well known character to get a toy, or a regular run for that matter. I would've thought that was glaringly obvious. Besides he was in a couple episodes with speaking lines. How does that not make him a minor bg character?

Sometimes I think people forget that Hasbro is a toy company first and foremost, and an entertainment company second.

My issue is that he's a BAF. I'm allowed to be displeased that a new character fig is being sold under such a greedy tactic to the point where people might not be able to complete it. As I said before, if a company is going to be a figure you build, it had better come as a complete kit. Otherwise people are just getting ripped off.

 

people already think they're getting ripped off by hasbro for $20 deluxes (despite it being a better value for the money than comparable competing toylines like marvel legends), the addition of a build a figure isnt going to do anything to change that perception either way. of course hasbro is greedy, they are a FOR PROFIT company, their job is to make as much money as they can. also, unlike other build a figure lines, there doesn't really seem to be a dud in the line, so if you do end up with all 8 then you also got a FREE figure.

I really can't wait for Arcee. I reeally hope she's not gonna be a target exclusive. Or any kind of exclusive really. I've been wanting one in my collection for quite a while.

I'm kinda curious about Skullcruncher. My daughter has the TR version and he is cool but several parts have a bad tendency of popping off so I decided not to grab him or Krok. Hopefully he'll be a bit sturdier this time. Probably not, considering CV's unfortunate QC issues.

I dropped the show early on in the second season. I'm guessing Thunder Howl is a new character? It'd be neat to see him turning into something other then a wolf or generic canine. Like a hyena or a coyote. Maybe even another breed of domestic like a mastiff or something.

 

arcee is definitely my most anticipated of the deluxes, and the only one im really interested in. thunderhowl i believe is a new character that hasnt been in the show yet

 

I might grab Skull Cruncher for a custom if I like him. Maybe turn him into an idea I have for one. Or maybe I'll see about turning him into Wheel Gator. How fun would that be?

 

Maccadam is probably not getting a regular toy and likely doesn't have a normal deluxe because his altmode is impossible. While there's precedent for non-transforming transformers and whatnot in the past, Cyberverse is all about the gimmicks and transforming because it's very much a kid-appeal show. As a result, Maccadam is a bonus and nothing more until he gets an immediately ascertainable and achievable altmode and/or fun gimmick.

Not that i wouldn't want a Maccadam. I like the weirdo one-offs that pop up every so often in Generations, like Straxus and Rung and Drift, etc. Still, the inference is that he turns into a hillock covered in guns or something ridiculous which isn't viable given the constraints of Cyberverse.

 

I think they should have made him a weaponizer, like from the Siege line, that way one could at least use the figure part as a weapon accessory.
