I haven’t found a review thread for these new Autobots who have joined the Studio Series line so I went ahead to make a thread. Earlier this week, I found Studio Series Arcee/Chromia/Elita-1 in stock at InDemand Toys and without hesitation, I bought them! I have loved the look of these three ever since they were revealed, and now that I have them in hand, I still feel the same about them.

    IMG_20191207_215645.jpg

These three are fun, detailed and are quite interesting! Another good factor about them is that they’re not lacking any paint. Hasbro has done a good job here; I highly recommend them if you are thinking of getting them. Oh, and to clarify… They do not combine to replicate the concept art.The stands have some ports and tabs, but they don’t seem like they can fit together. I’m sure people will find a way though.

Arcee, Chromia and Elita-1 are very similar. Their structure is quite similar which means they have the same amount of articulation. All three are very articulated for their size and I really wasn’t expecting that. Chromia and Arcee have accessories however poor Elita-1 gets nothing else. We’ll look into that a little later though. I must say that the instructions are terrible, it took me ages to transform the Autobots using them!

We’ll look at each of them individually just to give more of an insight. First up is Arcee!
    IMG_20191207_215128.jpg

Arcee is my favourite of the three. She looks the best and has the best transformation (In my opinion). Her joints aren’t loose, and they aren’t too tight either. She has a swivel joint in the waist as well as a balljoint slightly above. This makes her quite flexible and dynamic. Her head is on a balljoint (Can look left, right, up and down) and it doesn’t get affected by the kibble behind her head. She has balljointed shoulders and elbows which is nice! The bike mode is awesome and looks really good.

Chromia is next and I find her really cool too. She’s basically a blue Arcee with a few different parts. She has the same articulation as Arcee but her transformation is a lot more difficult and annoying. They are small anyways which doesn’t help. Her alt mode sometimes doesn’t tab together correctly but other than that, she has a fantastic vehicle mode.

    IMG_20191207_150715.jpg

Elita-1 is the final in the group, and she is a bit different compared to Arcee and Chromia. Her limbs are slightly different, and she has quite a bit of kibble behind and below the waist. She has the same articulation as Arcee and Chromia which is no surprise. The transformation isn’t as bad as Chromia’s and her alt mode is kinda accurate. It even includes a kickstand!

    IMG_20191207_150750.jpg

The triplets scale nicely with others in robot and vehicle mode. The stands are great too, they don’t connect to the figure but instead the figure just falls into place. Without the stands, the figures won’t be able to stand at all. You can pose the triplets many ways and they won’t fall out of the stands/the stands won’t fall over!
    IMG_20191207_221558.jpg IMG_20191207_151224.jpg

Arcee gets another blaster which slides over her right arm. It looks nice and stays on but is lacking paint. Chromia gets a blade which attaches to her gun and she also has a small part which connects to her bicep.

These three are worthy additions to the Studio Series line and I highly recommend them. If you have any questions, please ask away! I hope this review was informative and enjoyable!

They might combine but the Studio Series figures don't.

As far as I know, they can't combine.

Dude great review! You are a natural at this! I'm really really excited for these. I didn't think for a million years that we'd get more rotf arcees, and even when studio series started to look like they were gonna cover the more obscure characters I still thought we'd at best get legends-style figures or maybe the same bike repainted three times. This is so amazing that they exist and are ACTUALLY GOOD! I think my feeling about them is gonna be the same as yours: Arcee is the best overall, Chromia is cool, and Elita is OK.

I plan on spraying all the gray parts silver, adding detailing to the accessories, and probably some autobot symbols too! Are you planning anything?
Those are the old figures, jeez.
That's the first half-decent-looking combined mode I've seen for them! I might try that one when I get them!

Thank you so much! It's great that Hasbro actually made the triplets, they were in need of the SS treatment and now we have them :D . 10 years worth of waiting... Worth it!

They are fantastic, you won't be disappointed once you get them!

Unfortunately I don't have any of the figures you mentioned, but I did a bit of work to find an answer. I have TR Triggerhappy and he helped me quite a lot here. Using a review of TR Seaspray from @Optibotimus, I was able to get an accurate comparison. A Titan master comes up to Seaspray's knee:
    Screenshot_20191208_105033_com.android.chrome.jpg
Now that you know that comparison, here's Arcee with a Titan master (Blowpipe)
    IMG_20191208_104730.jpg
    And with Triggerhappy:
    IMG_20191208_104925.jpg IMG_20191208_104855.jpg

I'd say that Seaspray is a few CM taller than the triplets. I hope this helps!

Sure! All three are the same height, they're 3 inches (7.5CM).

Thank you for the review and the pictures! Very informative! The bikes were always my favorite Autobot designs perhaps in the entire Bayverse run,so I'm glad they came out as good as they are. My only real gripe is that the faces don't seem to translate well at this size. I want to buy a couple sets for a few customs and also to try mangling them into the Steve Jung combined design.

    A few questions:

On Chromia and Arcee, are those two 5mm ports on their gun arms? Similarly, are those ports on Arcee's back and side 5mm compatible?

Can you replace Elita-1's blade arm with a hand from Chromia/Arcee and how would it affect transformation?

Where are those backdrop pieces from? They're really cool.

No problem! I love their designs, they were very unique but it's a shame we didn't see them for longer. For the questions:

    1) The ports are actually smaller than 5mm, so you can't stick any other guns in there or anything unfortunately. The only thing you can attach is Chromia's blade. Nothing can be connected on the back.

    2) You can easily replace Elita-1's blade arm using Arcee/Chromia's other hand, however they wouldn't be able to transform properly and correctly. Everything would go in place but nothing will tab together.

    3) And these backdrop pieces are really cool! I found them on eBay by just typing 'Action figure bases'. I'm not sure if you'll be able to find them but I wish you the best of luck. Try typing something along those lines on eBay if you can't find them.

Are they 3mm holes? If so then they should be compatible with legends-sized weapons.
