Nekommander GM (w.i.p): "you are too big!" damn! penelope is crazy, you really cant get a grasp of how all the stuff works until you have it in person!
Do you ever worry about getting plastic shavings in your drink while building? lol. I noticed that after I finish a build sessions, I got bits of plastic all over exposed areas of my desk and was a bit cautious to have drinks around. Haha
Not always, in fact I use condensation off the side of the glass to moisten my sanding pads. Makes wet sanding more efficient! Sometimes I just lay an ice cube in paint pan and coat it in brush cleaner.

Got the email notices from two domestic hobby stores that the MG Barbatos is in stock at their stores.. however while i don't have it preordered, I'm surprised there's not been any Japanese Sample Build reviews of it outside of the one or two video reviews. odd. It adds a nice flavor to it too. Can't say it doesn't look good. I honestly like the 00 Seven Sword in the Inspectors Colors more so than the normal blue for some reason but I have the Real Grade version of this since I don't like the Perfect Grade. Yeah... I'm putting those AC side projects aside for a bit because I've got Penelope envy. Talking with a friend of mine IRL who was confused with color mixing guides working on his Thunderbolt, "The parts are gray, but the mixing instructions says "mahogony" and that threw me off..." So I let the plastic speak for me... "Wanna see a magic trick?" There's a hue inbued in the plastic. So that's why he needs the extra unexpected color. Now, this is where I stagger myself into trouble by getting creative. I want to paint those vents on the long skirts for Penny, so I worked on a recipe. Taking some of that pale Orange I made for my Figurerise Mechanics Haro and Insignia Yellow to finally make a proper "Gundam Yellow!" Testors Model Master Acrylic, 1 bottle of Insignia Yellow to two pipettes of "Haro" Unfortunately I forgot to label that bottle so I don't know what my concentrations of what exactly are in it. Even so, I've got plenty of it left in the reserve jar so when I come around to refreshing this recipe, I've got plenty!
"Make that red look deeper and richer by mixing in a drop of black and brown." Color theory is bullshit. Fuck art.
trust me, before I was a Cattle Baron I was an art major. The teacher hated me when I kept making that same remark. Though it's not wrong, my recipe for "perfect grade frame" is flat black, leather, and Dark Gray F15. I just made one minor correction to my recipe for this yellow by adding in a couple drops of white primer. Even looking at the Penelope's instruction manual for a color, their recipe says add White, 1%
I have the latest Diaclone Tridasher in my warehouse at HLJ, and I don't want to ship it by itself. I am holding out hope that they will get extra stock of the MG Barbatos when he arrives later this month, but if not, I would like to add another 1/100 MG to my order. Any suggestions? I've never built a Zaku or a Gouf. What are the best MG representations of those Zeon suits?
BOY!!!! Seriously, Version 2.0 Gouf. go for it, @Sinestro00 - I can only blame myself for this.. I misaligned the collar piece on Odysseus, and it pulled the front chest armor away as I'm trying to cement the parts together. Didn't realize what happened and I was trying to clamp parts together against the resistance of a single 2mm post. long story short, bond failed, and stretched the melted plastic. I took it all apart to try and salvage it, but I've got this kind of a gap now. And yeah. ........"F***.." So, time to get in touch with Blue Fin's replacement parts service. I can work on the rest of the Penelope in the meantime and come back to Odysseus later.
Thanks! I’m gonna wait until the end of next week to se what’s up with Barbatos, and I’ll grab it then.
