I got the Siege Ironhide recently, so I had to make some room on my shelf, and Combiner Wars Ironhide had to go. But before I made some pictures, since he was actually one of my very first Transformer customs. Back then I started using the combiner-part as a filler for his back, like in this video: It is a very clever way to get rid of the empty space there, and looks amazing in vehicle mode too. The mold of Ironhide has great detailing, but most of it is lost due his lack of paintjobs. So black and metal was definately the way to go here. His legs just look much nicer when you highlight these screwheads and pipes and pistons, as well as the cables and springs on his torso. I also cut down the axe a bit, somehow I don't liked the design of it. Now it's not perfect either, but more appealing to me. The rest was just my typical standard: panellining, yellow clear paint on the lights, and metallic blue for the windows, cause I closed the screwhole and the pinholes there.
