The one you set up for yourself in the first quote. I've quoted the flow of that part of the conversation in case it's helpful. I wasn't accusing you of anything, I was being amused by your self-admitted damning of the reality of scale and self-described perception that doing so is crazy. Reading it without that context, I can see how it could be mistaken for more than that, so my apologies if it seemed like I was accusing you of something other than what you willingly assigned to yourself.
Never said you were wrong. Hope the above quotes helped clarify.

I see your point but thats just not the direction modern mp is heading

that used to be the case (Real world alt modes with toon robot modes) but now its shifted to full toon accuracy

Plus Fanstoys’ modus operandi is toon accuracy

Zeta seems to be the closest to real world jets as of now but as much as I like the FT set some accurate jets for the aerialbots would be awesome, although require some engineering black magic

Man that Starscream head makes a world of difference on Meteor.

More n more I am glad I decided to ultimately not get him as I feel we're getting ever closer to an inevitable Takara V3.

if only i can replace its puny hands with XTB Aegis 2.0 hand. I hate those dated hands on Meteor with passion
Getting the Takara head from MP-44 to fit on meteor is a chore though. I make the connector from scratch to fit in.

That's exactly why I went with Zeta for their limb-bots. I know their 'bot modes aren't going to be as good as FT, but realistic alt. modes are still a priority for me. I'd much rather have a figure that's 90% close to what I want in both modes, than one that's 98% in 'bot mode and 60% in 'alt mode. Odd then that FT nailed Silverbolt so well in both modes.

So long as you don't actually compare its proportions to a real Concorde, then I guess you could say they "nailed it".

Hey... it's close enough... and I'm just pleased we finally got a Concorde that didn't look like it was carrying a shipping crate under it. I don't think it's ever going to get better than that.

I've even shown that figure to people who couldn't give a monkeys about TF's and they've been amazed at how such a blocky robot can turn into such a slender jet. That's engineering black magic right there.

i like the mmc combaticons because they are the right heights in robot mode. I don't mind if bruticus is a little smaller than say the jinbao gravity builder because I feel like devastator is the tallest combiner.

Or stick a brick under MMC Bruticus when displayed next to the other combined bots. Problem solved.

I was interested in this combiner until I realized just how big these are. Same with the various MP scale Dinobots. I don't have the room for an MP scaled collection or even an MP scaled team. I guess I need to keep trying to convince myself that MP Prime & Megs is all I need. Except I'm too weak to stop reading these threads.

If their current figures are anything to go by, I think GT or UT can do a better job with the jet alt-modes.

GT have been going for more modern alt. modes across the board so far, so I doubt they'd change that for their version of the Aerialbots. I wouldn't want them too though... they're leading the way with combiners as far as I'm concerned. Love their aesthetic.

Considering that the F-16 and F-15 are still in production, (and the F-22 isn't!) you can't really update their alt modes much...

(And there is no Concorde successor).

The only real direct replacement, is the F-35B for the Harrier. (Which then means you don't want to use the F-35A as an F-16 replacement, unless you want two VERY similar-looking bots----though that would help with tooling costs).

But, you do also spend an awful lot of time in a thread about a figure you've made it clear youre not buying, while also taking every opportunity to remind people that you think it's too small.

Impressive display of selective memory. Good to see the usual suspects liking your post as well. ;)
I can't help that MMC chose to make combined mode small or some of the individual bots so greebly/hinge & seam-covered, or that the 3Ps who can do premium MP haven't taken a crack at Combaticons yet.
As I've said before, it's still the best current option for the botmodes. And their size is not too small. They are good placeholders, too. Nothing wrong with that.

I can screenshot the pre-orders for the rest of them but don't see the need.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't really spent much time in this thread in recent months aside from the occasional quick burst of posts that comes from a near real-time back-n-forth discussion with someone debating some aspect of the figure or misinterpreting something that was said. But I appreciate that some of my posts may feel like a thorn in the side of those with a vested interest in this product. Their comments and actions indicate they don't want to hear anything other than praise for it and that makes my posts stand out more than those who post way more frequently in this thread but who love the compromises made with Assaultus to deliver an all-in-one combiner. And I've come to mostly respect their perspective even though I don't agree with it and find it less accurate to the source material where both toy and toon showed combiners having what amounts to partsforming.

But I stand by my statements that these are the best botmode Combaticons for an MP collection thus far, and the best coloration of Combaticons since Takara's Unite Warriors set. At the same time, the combined form is less massive and shorter than the other MP combiners by nearly all 3Ps that are producing them. I'm sorry that having a nuanced and relatively neutral position on the matter makes it harder to just dismiss my comments outright like you can (and should) do with a poster that's clearly just a fanboy of another 3P company or someone trying to troll a thread. I've come to accept that I'll get more flack and make less fans, but I'm not going to move to an extreme position just to make it easier to accept or reject my posts outright. Moving toward an extreme is perhaps the very issue that holds back the product this thread is about (i.e., the compromises necessary to hold to the all-in-one gimmick) from being a definitive masterpiece Bruticus, imho.

Every TF is a placeholder until we get something better. In other news, the sky is blue.
If you think it's too small, fine. I can say that for a ton of awesome legends figures that I wish I had in an upsized form. However, the alt modes are scale to other MP figs for the most part and the combiner isn't "small" by any means, it is just shorter than some crazy behemoths that pretty much cheat their way to the top with useless add on parts like entire hips and thighs sections that do nothing in any other mode.
Honestly, mmc Assaultus beats the sh*t out of those poser combiners imo, and still manages to be quite large overall. On top of that, the individual modes are clean and ooze character.
Look, if it's too small for your collection, that's that. Saying it's somehow not up to par with some objective standard for current combiners is ridiculous for the fact that there really can't be a fully objective standard, and the second is that it has to fit your own collection needs. Given the general MP scale, this isn't missing any marks if you ask me, and if your referring to a scale chart, I don't think that scale chart is anything more than a rough guide. I rather have alt mode scales prioritized higher than arbitrary bot mode scale chart bologne.
