No. Takara shows you can sell an inferior product at a higher price by making it lighter.

    See MP-45.

In the toon, Motormaster is supposed to be the whole trailer too, right? Not like Prime, where he’s separate?

Ah crap! And their profile might be hard to find from other model cars. Is there no way you can glue the one you have together?

    Their relationship made no sense.

One is a smooth, heroic, unflappable special ops expert who is comfortable in any situation, prefers working alone and is fascinated by all the various and wondrous cultures of Earth.

The other is a nervous, jittery, nihilistic scout, who is more comfortable being a part of a murderous gang of thugs and generally finds humanity annoying and repellent.

In spite of everything their mutual attraction was instantaneous and their torrid love affair produced an offspring.

With scratches, paint blems, missing parts and loose joints out of the box. These are the new norms of the TT MP line. TT MP defenders and apologists not need to apply.

    Correct.

Yeah I heard the horror stories... But I am pretty sure those incidents are not related to the weight of the figure. Anyway, I think it is nonsense to objectively think something is worse / cheap just based on their weight.

Phoenix is actually a bit taller than Feral Rex. He's 14" tall and FR is roughly 12.5" at head height. UW Devastator (in that pic of mine above) is about 18". Here he is with Zeta Kronos which is about 21".

Unconfirmed at the moment, no? Or did I miss confirmation on that?

Kronos about 4 or 5cm taller than DX9 Menasor.

    Nope.

Fanstoys have said sweet FA about combined mode height but based on the size of the cars it's logically gonna be around Kronos height seeing as the cars are the same size as XTB.

Also that's a negative on the DX9 Menasor v Kronos comparison estimate. You might be thinking their Menasor is their Bruticus size but it ain't. Their Menasor is about the same height as Kronos too, in fact I'd say DX9 Menasor is slightly bigger:

I'd argue at this point all pantsforming combiners look like they are all gonna be this kinda size, give or take 1cm either way.

Depends on the context. Since we are in tfw2005, presumably we are talking about toys. We pay quite a bit for these toys so we don't want them to get damaged. Why is it nonsense to think that toys made using some diecast are more resistant to damage and therefore better made? If there are two toys, toy A, and toy B, they both transform, etc, and pretty much are the same except toy A uses some diecast and toy B doesn't, it's definitely NOT non sense to think that toy A is better made than toy B, however if toy A is a bad toy i.e. lazy transformation, etc, no amount of diecast will make the toy good.

Diecast has its use, I agree on that, but it doesn't make sense to add heft for the sake of it, unless it's a gimmick to attract customers believing they are getting a quality product. Diecast is heavy, difficult to cast and paint, sometimes there are better alternatives, I say: use it when it's necessary.

But if you subjectively like hefty figures, that's completely fine. Nothing wrong with that.
