It's got to be the Marvel UK run for me (which includes the US stories). Specifically the final issues drawn by Geoff Senior.

If it counts, John Barber's Transformers run (including RID, exRID, Revolution, Revolutionaries, the Dinobot Trilogy, and Unicron). One of the best comic "runs" I've ever read.

I grew up on the Marvel UK comic, enjoyed all of Roberts and Roche's comics but I think I'll have to say Dreamwave, especially their More Than Meets the Eye profile books and the G1 ongoing.

The writers really knew the characters, I loved the badass portrayal of Sunstreaker in the ongoing series, and fleshed out the Micromasters in the their profile books.

They also gave Sunstorm and Bumper some nice screen time. Sunstorm was particularly interesting for a Decepticon since despite being delusional, he wasn't actually a villain.

It was also nice to see cameos of Stepper, Soundblaster and Delta Magnus, with Soundblaster a separate character to Soundwave.

They respected the G1 comic and cartoon that came before them with little nods in the profiles such as Catilla and Carnivac being law enforcement partners before the war, Thunderwing having an obsessive nature while Scorponok was conflicted. Oh and we finally got Seeker drones in the comics.

    The artwork was fantastic too.

I got back into collecting because of the Dreamwave comics and G1 reissues. Primus, it was around this time 17 years ago!

    Last Stand Of The Wreckers!

Unfortunately I haven’t gotten the chance to read many tf comics but I’d be surprised if something managed to dethrone this one.

    Car Wash of Doom too.

Also, Monstercon from Mars has one of the best opening splash panels this franchise ever had.
