Looking on eBay for Mugenbine is always fun because you'll see people trying to sell Saga Falcon for 100$ and then you'll see JSpook selling one for 16$ with make an offer on.
Just got my offers accepted for the Mugenfire and Police! Now if only someone would post a Mugen Builder for a reasonable price (once I have money again, which won't be for a while)
For the prices he's got 'em at? I wouldn't say no, but I'm terrible at being patient. XD They're both great sets. The only really week one out of that lot IMO is the mammoth (And it's still good). At the time I'm writing this, though.... looks like they already got snapped up. >< Pretty decently priced Gear Tortoise up tho. *EDIT* Oh your last two posts weren't loading.... congrats! XD Also, man, when I started collecting there were just saga falcons everywhere... and that set is probably one of the worst sets IMO.
So I've heard. Yeah I got them. I think even if Mugen Builder does go up sometime soon I may still pass on it and wait for a Mugen Hercules to come up instead. I have Heavy Mammoth who has all the parts so if I could find a Mugen Hercules I could use his leftover block to make the combiner. Still who am I kidding I would probably still get the Mugen Builder if it came up. Now that I've got more stuff coming in the mail, it'll be a bit longer before I get collection pics up here, but hey on the plus side I can post some pics of Mugen Launcher Saurus once everything comes in! Edit: If I can find instructions or good pictures to do it. Seems like there is next to nothing in regards to pictures of it.
Instructions/Pics of Launcher Saurus you mean? Also Mugen Hercules is TOTALLY worth it. I have a thing for bug robots, but he's a particularly great bug robot, what with the weird horse-and-carriage vehicle mode.
No, there's plenty of documentation on LauncherSaurus, I meant Mugen Launcher Saurus, the (terrible) name for the combination of LauncherSaurus, MugenFire, and MugenPolice. I've found a few pictures of it but I still haven't found a good picture of the back so I'm not 100% sure of how that's built but I'll try and figure it out once they come in.
Out of curiosity, what would you guys consider the worst single Mugenbine set? Or, more specifically, worst Build Gattai set and worst candy toy set.
OHH. I think I have a pic of that on the back of some box, but it's tiny. From A-Z, Probably Dig Kong. From the weapon guys... eh they're all fine. From the motor guys, Saga Falcon HANDS DOWN, From the Buildings, Mammoth. From build gattai probably also mammoth. Candy toys... the later ones are better than the earlier ones, but Mugen Yamato is definitely the worst of the 6-figure sets. Best ones are probably the Evolbine sets, IMO. Moebine is great too if you can stand the creepy anime girls. Overall worst mugen sets ever: Heroes. Actually, this makes me think: I wonder if I can find documentation of the build gattai gestalts. Totally forgot those existed until I looked at Wikipedia just now.
As for the build gattai gestalts I know pictures exist but I can't build any of them, due to my lack of a speed eagle and trywolf
Man, I lucked out with those two. Guy in this thread was selling his build gattai stuff a year ago and I got all but speed eagle there. Happened to find some random toy site that had him for a decent price when I was digging. Took a chance and got him... funny thing was, the box must have been stored somewhere wet because the inner parts were COVERED in mold (but the figure was still in plastic and totally fine. XD
That's some good luck on your part! I think the only Build Gattai figure I would want are Dark Flame Dragon (because I want more villains)
He crops up every now and then on Ebay. Got him in the same lot, and got one later that was missing like one claw but came with directions (So if you do end up with him, I can get you directions). He's actually just the combination of Speed Eagle and Powerful Tyrano with some extra bits.
I know. It's a shame he doesn't come up very often, as if he was more common he would make a great starter set for people just getting into mugenbine. Once I'm done with the alphabet series, I'm going to work on getting the repaints so Xenobine will have some backup.
...Damnit... damnit I was trying to avoid buying anything else this year but I am not going to be able to stop myself. I'll have to grab it when I get home. Damn it I really wish JSpook would list things together. *EDIT*: I bought it. Guess I'll have Mugen Commander 3 much earlier than I anticipated but I am now completely broke as far as toy money goes. I need to try and save up as much as I can before the first Piranacon set is shipped.
Outside of the repaints and the obvious ones, which Mugenbine do you guys think would make good villains? I figure Turbo Animal Force would work pretty well in that role.
Never really thought about it! Turbo Animal Force makes sense but like them so much it's hard to say. XD Aside from Arch Tiger, most of the motor guys would work. Weapon guys would too. From A-Z.... I dunno? They all feel pretty heroic to me. Build Gattai maybe Tri Wolf.
Anybody got pics of Lead Saurus' super mode? I just got my Launcher Saurus in and I want to recreate it using the extra campaign parts my teiohryu came with
