Motormaster, from G1 the black and purple cab forward cargo truck who happens to be a deception leader of the decepticon stunticons.
    or
Scourge, RiD/CR who is a decepticon repaint of laser Optimus prime (the coolest prime mold, evah).

I wouldn't be surprised if Black Optimus repaints sell better than the real thing. They probably have some kind of magic shelf life where the next generation finds value in it's aesthetic.

Why is Anime Export much cheaper than Amazon Japan for this? Is this AJ price likely to come down?

Yes Amazon Japan’s price usually slowly drops until it gets to around 30% off. Not sure why. You’re guaranteed lowest price of course so you can preorder before it drops.

Can anyone find the link to the actual MP-49 link on Amazon Japan? I had the page open on my phone and I’ve been refreshing it to see the price drop. Today I refreshed the page again and it vanished. Now I’m only seeing the Amazon Marketplace sellers.

Weird, I can't find it either. My PO still shows shipping from Amazon JP, and clicking on the item link on my order page takes me to the marketplace sellers. However, my price is now $199.21 USD shipped, down from ~$215 the day I pre-ordered it.

Just checked mine. It is down to $184.71 USD now. It looks like they burned through their pre-order allotment. If so it shows there is a demand for this mold despite the outward trend. All that is listed is third party sellers for a small markup from the Amazon price. Cross your fingers that they do not start to cancel pre-orders due to over selling them. If they do the other distributors will get a cat pouncing on the mouse kind of hit on their remaining pre-orders.

Yeah, mine is set at $199 (shipped) from AJP, and the listing is gone (the ship and sold by AJP).

I remember this happening to MP-44 at one point, I think? Regardless, cool to see the price going down and nowhere near the absurd $300 price tag some people pull out of their collective asses.

I don't think it has ever been reported here, and if so, not in large numbers. I think this is precisely why they are no longer available, because they pre-sold out of their initial allotment. Once they confirm they can get more from Takara, he will go up again as the "sold and shipped by Amazon" option. Possibly a few more times prior to release, but not necessarily for the current price.

Sorry for not using multi-quote, but since you are in the UK, Anime Export may still end up cheaper after customs/import fees. Glad we don't need to worry about those in the US... yet. As the world grows more and more into a truly global economy (for small goods, not just materials and resources), it's only a matter of time.

luckily i have never ever been hit with fee's from anime export because they don't declare the full value which has always been awesome unlike other sites such as hlj and one i can't remember the name of both of which i have been hit with fee's buying from because they declare full value , not sure about orders from amazon jp? can anyone in the uk shed some light on that?

but yeah it can be a bitch thankfully i know where not to buy from ( mostly ) now

Amazon.jp calculate and add customs to the order when you pay. There is no way to avoid them.

My AJP preorder is down to ¥20,074 before shipping and import duties. TFS-Express is currently cheaper including shipping for UK buyers but only by a few pounds, so hopefully the Amazon price has room to come down more before the 22nd Dec cancellation deadline.

tfs express is nearly £200 with shipping added it's not cheaper £196.49 all in within the uk .... my anime export order was £143.43 and should be £25.50 shipping going by their shipping calculator and the bape mp10 weight and guaranteed to be no shipping fee's

"edit" i think you must be looking at the £150 balance after the £39.99 deposit is taken off , look at the drop down menu payment options the full price is £189.99 before shipping with tfs-express

I am loathed to defend TT's ridiculous pricing but the trailer is more than just a 'box'. It 'transforms' into a battle station/repair bay, has metal strips for the mini-figures to magnetise to, it has roller, it has the repair drone thingy which has several modes to it and doubles as a removable stand etc etc. Plus it's not just that and some extra head sculpts removed. There are no electronics and the Starscream dress up kit, mini figures, battle damaged waist part, and jet pack are all also absent. All stuff I could not give two shits about but its more than just a 'box' and a couple of headsculpts.

However I'm right there with you in finding it frustrating... so much IMO unnecessary crap was added to MP-44 and it's now clear it presence hugely inflated price, whether it be warranted or artificial. I don't care for Nemesis Prime, so I wont be buying this, but if MP-44 had been similarly stripped down I wouldn't have hesitated to get one and certainly wouldn't have considered going the 3P route I eventually opted for. Plus imaging how much better that backpack would look if they'd not bothered with the electronics!

My AJP order is ¥28,251 including shipping and duties, so roughly £198. (MP49 alone is ¥20,074, meaning shipping and duties is costing roughly £57ish from them  ).

So TFS after shipping is still very slightly cheaper, but it depends on how much Amazon's price comes down. If it stays around this level I'll just go with TFS for local convenience if I need to return it or anything, or go somewhere else like AE which seems way cheaper at the moment. I've never used AE before though. Are they good?

    yeah that is loads!!!

yeah anime export are pretty good and as i said earlier they mark the value down so it sails through customs , you pay for the product and then pay the shipping when the item is instock

all in it should come to just under £170 once i have paid for the shipping
