I was watching "The Toys that Made Us" and they said one of Masters of the Universe's mistakes was never having the older characters in stock - you'd go to a toy aisle and you'd find a bunch of rando's but never He-Man or Skeletor. People weren't able to get the first core characters so they just didn't get into MotU. Many people don't want to collect a line at all if they can't feasibly complete their collection - IF would make bank and attract a bunch of new people if they made their older stuff available again.

that is a great idea. give sunstreaker a legit headmaster hunter and that would get me to bite again.

the IF headmasters are super small and the perfect size it should work.

Especially the Starscream/Seekers. They are going for stupid prices in the aftermarket.

Or package a Bob the Insecticon with him. Lots of options out there like a more G1 jetpack. Especially Starscream, just drop the ghost part or coronation gear.

It really does baffle me that they seem to never do re-issues. I mean, Spinel and Nightmare Commander prove that the moulds are still being used, but they insist in continuously making repaints over restocking core characters...

I see them potentially doing this along with primev2 in the near future.

I'd appreciate a version 2.0 that has an Earth mode; but it would also be nice to give people another chance to pick up v.1 in the original colors. Especially with Siege OS released you can recreate the battle against Thunderwing.

I would get an IDW Earth mode prime and just keep my V1 as Orion Pax.

    We
ll, it doesn’t fit two cars, but the Cyberverse legends prime trailer fits one , and is towed perfectly by IF prime. Here a pic of IF prime towing the trailer with the Racing Bros, as well as MakeToys legends prime for scale: [IMG]
MT prime also fits in the trailer , but his tiny feet aren’t big enough to tow it, but Hi-Q does look pretty good by the console:

I guess this came in the Cyberverse Warriors set but was in a package with optimus included for about 20 bucks. Still not a bad price for a nice fit to the IF set.

It was a Walmart Exclusive in the US / TRU in Canada that originally retailed for $29.99.

It quickly dropped in price at Walmart - they had a TON and people weren't biting at $30. I picked up 2 of them for something like $8 each on Clearance after seeing some reviews.

In addition to the cool 'Teletraan-1' screen, there are plenty of 5mm ports and the gun on top is compatible with Siege Blast Effects.

I bought it to use as a Micromaster base, not realizing its compatibility with IF Prime until I saw these posts earlier today... so double bonus!

EDIT: Nice review on BWTF: "Cyberverse" Warrior Class Optimus Prime with Battle Base Trailer Toy Review

Thunderwing? Is there a Thunderwing figure that would work with IF?

I need to dig him out, but I think the old CHUG Thunderwing would work though I think something larger like Voyager or Commander size would be closer to how was depicted in the miniseries.

I think the TFC (?) Thunderwing would probably scale really well with IF legends.

Thanks! Yes, I started getting into the toys after reading the comics (that is my first true love). My sons were too young to be into the comics, but the toys... It was time I opened that pandoras box.
There is something about IDW's The Transformers that just blew me away visually. Don't get me wrong, G1 is truth. But there was something so fresh and new about it, while still being G1 based. Love the art, designs, etc.
When I first saw the Iron Factory stuff I just couldn't get on a different train, that was the set I wanted. My wallet can't handle more than one line unfortunately. And I seem to be one of the few in the fandom that really thinks Legends scale is above the rest (yes even MP). Smaller is usually better in my eyes as long as the detail remains. Those giant bots and combiners never appealed to me. I can see why im in the minority tho.
