im really liking these new BAF figs! So many customization ideas for Megs! Banzaitron?

This mold is reminding me of someone but i cant put my finger on it?

It’d be awesome to see the Earthrise figs with BAF pieces for nontransforming Characters like the quintessons... too bad the judge will be a voyager but the professors and prosecutor!

Excited for Hot Rod the most as always

The other four figures in the Maccadam BAF set (aside from the previously revealed first wave of Optimus, Megatron, Shockwave, and Bumblebee) were revelaed a couple days ago from the back of the box of this first wave, on the first pahe of this thread. The second wave/second half of the Maccadam BAF set will be Hot Rod, Grimlock, Arcee, and a new character named Thunderhowl.

They did the reveal through co-sells on the box? That is terrible.

Renders definitely don't do these guys any justice. Do we have any more hands-on pictures from the person who posted them the other day with those brilliant Prime poses? Also, I can't wait to see how wave 2 turn out. I'm really curious how Grimlock will scale with the others and if he will have the faceplate or not. I really hate that he doesn't use it in the show at the very least for combat. Then again, Prime and Wheeljack don't either. Why the heck not!? That would save them from having to animate the mouths too so they can focus their attention elsewhere.

because it allows emotion and you only want it to be G1

There is one website already taking preorders for the BAF figure for $90.

No it's not just because it's "geewun" I vastly prefer bots with the faceplate look a lot better, plus it makes sense to want to protect your face during battle. It's literally the same concept as a knight's helmet. They did it in TFPrime and I loved that. As far as conveying more emotion goes, you don't need facial features to convey subtle emotion with the right talent. Look no further than The Mandalorian.

Prime looks very respectable, Megatron too but his face is just washed out.

Right? I was utterly blown away by the amount of emotion he conveyed in episode 3 without removing his helmet or even speaking more than a handful of lines. Wonderfully, wonderfully directed and acted.

On topic, someone mentioned a German con this weekend could potentially give us a better look at these guys, anyone have more info on that?

These look great, but then again, this line has been pretty great from the start - if you are a Shockwave fan! They’ve all had decent articulation thanks to the alt mode choice.

Cyberverse isn’t helmed by a man who focuses on emotion and character . Cyberverse isn’t remotely the same caliber as Mandalorian.

Puts on Tin Foil Mouse Hat.

I have a feeling that inside Hasbro there are two Ideologies, Cheap vs Quality. Cheap has lost the Battle, bidding there time for another opportunity.

You Boba Fett fans breathe way more life into what you've seen than what was actually there. Mandalorian is charming, but hardly the amazing writing you guys allude to. :rolleyes2  Silent characters do not = great dialogue, sorry.  Still looking forward to the rabid, euphoric arguments its fans will thrust upon the rest of us! :lol

(Trust me, from the writing so far, they have no clear direction for the main character, and the ending will inevitably disappoint you! )

    But I hate Spider-Tank! :cry

If you're going to undo the cool space gun alt mode, I guess TF Prime had a fun alternative. The spider-tank is designed horribly here. It's just boring, imo. Not the concept, but certainly the execution.

So the Matrix shoots out water now? Is this leading to animated firefighter Prime or Fire Convoy?

Not a huge fan of spider tank either, but the alt mode made knees and elbow articulation necessary and so he didn’t suffer like many of the other boys did with limited articulation.

I don't know if this Generations-style deluxe class completely replaces warrior class, but other classes seem to keep their old ways. Upcoming ultras and ultimates seem to keep their low articulation and gimmick based nature, except they all will have the same gimmick now.
But even if only one class becomes generations-style that's great.

Surprised it is Arcee - who barely appeared in the show so far and never transformed, and a new character, instead of Starscream and Windblade, but I ain't complaining, finally good figures from this line! Hasbro finally understood that adult collectors are interested in Cyberverse too. Here is hoping for Wheeljack, Prowl, Slipstream and Screamer in Wave 2.
Btw, are their Marvel Build-a-figure lines also 8 per wave? Aren't they 6 per wave?
