The true way to prove a figure is solid, hold it by the leg and see how much it moves. :lol

Why just cause it's lower to the ground? Hence my squished comments :p
Yeah this is exactly what I've been saying. It's the right details in the wrong places, like someone who starts inking a drawing before the shapes are correct.
That's a good point! Have we seen Orion's full range of articulation? It seems that all we've seen for months now are pictures of him standing perfectly straight up. I seem to recall some more dynamic shots at some point but does he even have articulation?

Yep we have a few pics from a while back. Looks to have some decent range despite the bulk.

The problem with Toyworlds truck mode is its scale. The wheels are almost the same height as measuring from the bottom of the door to the top of the windscreen. So is the cabin small compared to the rest of the truck? Are the wheels comically large compared to everything else? Assuming the cabin is scaled for a normal sized human, the rest of the truck would be huge.

Knight Orion does beat Challenger on robot mode sculpted detail and paint apps. But the truck mode is definitely less proportionally accurate, and Toyworlds rust fetish is annoying. The vehicles are almost always pristine in the films but emulating that on their figures doesn't seem to be an objective for them. WeiJiang struck a reasonable compromise on their MPM4 by having the truck pristine but robot parts weathered. I think the same approach would help Toyworld both on this and Freedom Leader.

Bro I'm so torn between these two. I'm pretty young so I don't have the budget you guys do. I've been saving up for challenger for the past 3 months, but this guy was looking more and more better to me. However the price is too much for me so I guess I'll go with challenger.

If you’ve been saving up all this time then why not wait a little longer til there are proper comparisons and reviews for both?

Although challenger is WAY cheaper, and that ain’t gonna change.

Chsllenger with the new head will not disappoint you. But If you can not afford both Challenger and Megatron for the new head, go for the either Destroyer.

Challenger is also an amazing figure, either way, you will get a good representation of the character.

Remember that blue test shot pic? Left a bad taste in my mouth. He definitely looks a lot better in that short preview video.
But still it’s hard to justify the price. Maybe 6-8 months from now, a second batch for 130.
Look at Challenger. who would've thought a year later he would be $90? (Got Destroyer for 85)
All I’m saying, for 170 it better be perfect. It’s not.
There are some flaws in robot mode and the alt mode has always been weak. Anyone who says they prefer it to Challengers’, good for you
in my eyes it’s one of the worst I’ve seen for a Knight Prime truck mode. The front grill alone is a total wreck.
I don’t mind the “dirt” and I’m sure the final paint job will be much improved.
but eh, where’s my chrome? talk about screen accuracy? Well, chrome is screen accurate.

Still undecided till I see a proper review, in english.
And I’m still hoping for a brand new design done from scratch. Get the ppl from UT for the engineering, TW can work on details and paint.
    It’s not that far-fetched.

After seeing that wimpy Megatron I'd rather have them doing separate things. Each to their own preferences.

Isn't 170$ for the 2nd batch already when the 1st one was cheaper but with less accessories? I vaguely remember some drama about TW's shady business tactics.

Idk, so far TW after zeta’s departure haven’t really decreased the price of much. I mean hell, their devy is still the same it was a year or two back. And that has like.... 8 repaints?

No. It's because it's smoother/less blocky. It's like comparing a modern Corvette to just about any 80s sports car.

    Yes.

They are definitely molded here so unless TW hasn't forgotten to paint them in the final release they should be there.

That's more than a bit of a let down. There's no reason why clearly defined headlights couldn't be added. TW should see XTB Gravestone and FT Roadking for example.

I wouldn't mind clear pieces there tbh.

To be fair, Knight OP is waaaay more complex than G1 Motormaster, UT's Challenger have clear headlights, they end up at the back of his feet in robot mode though. By the way, I have never see you in a Bayverse thread before, do you collect them too? If so, welcome and have a pleasant stay here!
