Got trypticon today. Very much adore the guy, hips and tail seem fine. But one of his flip ramps doesn't fold down, it sits perfectly horizontal and i can't figure out why. The other ramp goes down fully. Any opinions? You can see runamuck and runabout trying to fix it in this pic. They haven't succeeded. And an action shot just for fun.

Check the green pieces of the ramp. It might be in there backwards, or there might be a thick bit of flashing or nub marks from the runner gates.

Yeah, there's visibly something odd going on with the green bit in the picture... Might be worth pushing up on the green bit from underneath while pulling the ramp down close to it. Possibly a burr on the plastic on the green bit.

Actually before that, fold the ramps up and compare the green bits to see if you can see something obviously wrong

EDIT: Having just checked with mine, the one on that side is a tad reticent to fold down.

Tried those but couldn't see anything, and it wasn't budging when I pushed it. I'll have another look tonight and post some pics. Maybe you guys can spot something I'm missing. I'm just going to call it a runway until it gets sorted.

Any chance of close up of the green bit between ramp and body?

I'll take some and post them tonight. I couldn't see any flashing hanging out, and it looked the same as the other side, but I may be missing something.

I like that you still have good old RID 2000 Megatron on display! He's a great figure!

Don't know if I'm missing anything obvious but i can't see any difference.

He really is. That shelf is a bit of a jumble at the moment, but that Megatron will stay out on display. A fantastic figure.

It looks like there’s just enough mold flash on the outer edge of the green part that is preventing it from folding smoothly. A tiny bit of work with an exacto knife might just clear up the problem.

Thanks for the lookout! A little careful work and
    IMG_20191023_175840.jpg

It folds down properly. I still need to put my thumb under the green bit and fold the ramp down, so it's not as smooth as the other side, but it's had a few tests and works properly! And now i can bask in how awesome this mould is! Think I'll get the toyhax upgrade when the black friday sale hits.

I finally nabbed this fella, too. Roughly $70 via BBTS.

I didn't get him to utilize as a Transformer, though.

In my TMNT head canon, the Turtles ended up in the past due to shenanigans, and when they escaped back to the present via a portal, a T-Rex followed them through, so Donatello utilized components of the mostly destroyed Technodrome to create an equalizer...

This shoot was something of a pain in the butt, but I had fun.

Lol. That actually works pretty well. Were there any curious onlookers around during the photo shoot?

I'm used to that, but yes, probably more so than any other shoot in my fifteen years of doing this. I was also lugging around a Hot Toys Luke and Mezco Popeye and his boat, so I was probably quite a comical sight.

It's great to hear that some of you guys who hadn't experienced this guy back when it was new are able to find them cheap. IMO, this figure at $70 is the best deal going in TFs. It's an amazing hunk of plastic...especially if you have a good pile of Titanmasters and Primemasters..or even Micromasters or 3P Legends to go along with it.

I bought mine at full price when it was brand new, fixed the hips, applied the Toyhax labels (a MUST do project, IMO) ...and it's been on prominent display ever since. Trypticon remains one of my favorite modern TF purchases.

I got mine at Ollie's last year I think. Is there any way to tell off the bat if it'll need to be taken apart for fixing? Hips seem fine on mine, tail, I don't know. I've transformed it to all 3 modes at least once.
