But really I don't care much either way. I thought the metallic green looked fine but I also think this non-metallic green looks fine too. I like the metallic fleck in the orange/yellow part though.

But why'd you use the crappy Bayverse version instead of the good one?

 

Obviously just to get on the nerves of the 4 turbo nerds out there who can even tell the difference and make a big deal about it.

I resent that. I made a small deal about it. Medium at most.

 

I think it depends what you're after. Brawny is a long way from accurate to the character, while FT's is amazingly toon accurate. If you want toon accuracy, then I think Hunk will look a heck of a lot better. Brawny, at least for me, doesn't even really fit with the older mixed style of the earlier MP's. He's a case where BC just took way too many liberties. But if you like Brawny, and you want to pairwith BC Outback, then FT's may not fit.

Of course, if folks want toy influences, they could always slap some green and yellow paint onto a brick?


As for the metallic paint, count me in as someone who sees absolutely no need for it, especially on this figure. Shiny metallic paint doesn't really work for me for a late 70's/early 80's 4WD.
I have no need for a repaint or alt edition (assuming FT doesn't go all Jabber on us with this one) Love the current colour scheme

 

Outback is kinda odd looking altogether. I love that dude though. No intention of replacing that guy. Also, the Quint Journal is like my favorite accessory ever.

 

Plus, at least with BC Outback and FT Hunk it's not like two figures that are a retool. Keeps things fresh! I can't see FT doing Outback yet...

 

Whens the next show that we might see more of FT Hunk/Brawn?

 

there might be some Asian shows where he may be displayed....that said, he is supposed to be out in February so not too long from now.

But yeah, be good to see them side by side. Never gonna happen until it's out though, FT would display with Willis if anything. Unless that's what you might of course

dang it, apparently Fanstoys is gonna halt production till the 17th due to the virus, I really hope that doesnt mean all their releases including hunk get massively held back  

 

Thats it, prioritize a collection need over the safety of a nations population.

oh come on dude, thats not what I was trying to say at all :/ Of course I care about all the people dealing with this outbreak and their wellbeing and I really hope things get much better real soon. All im saying is that these releases tend to get delayed anyway for one reason or another and I am just speculating on how much this will affect the release time schedule. Im not bloody saying "how dare FT postpone their production cus of this outbreak ugh"... nah man obviously safety comes first. A lot of people have been waiting for parcels to come in from china which have been delayed aleady by CNY but some may be further delayed by the virus and they are excited to get what they ordered and to know when they are gonna get it and whether everything thats going on means they are gonna have to be more patient, that doesnt mean they don't care about the people -_-

 

There's just one thing I don't understand. The virus asside, how is it that parcels are delayed by CNY? That comes around every year, and they know when it is. So how come they can't plan for that?
