It is not unknown for 3P to bundle bonus stuff for first batch and first batch only...

That'll take care of all the v2'ers. :D

Good job on Transform Element for improving so much after a few releases. They've pretty much ironed out the problems I've had with their Prime - the blocky proportions, compromised articulation and sculpt.

Fits extremely well with the TT aesthetic, good choice to take photos with MP Sunstreaker. The curves and more tapered edges really makes him fit in unlike their Prime IMO.

I wonder if they'll give him a full paint job or if they'll go mostly bare plastic like their Prime. I hope they don't have multiple revisions to their first release like their Prime either.

I doubt we'll see that kind of thing from them again. There's always demand for Optimus but with other characters, once you've done a run of a figure, your market for a v2 version is extremely limited. They'd find themselves releasing a wave of v2 and selling like five figures to the handful of people who are picky/psychotic enough to buy every revision.

I've got the original mmc sphinx and while I loved it, it has started to look a little out of place on my autobot shelf. I've actually been looking to replace it with the toon accurate version but just never pulled the trigger. Pretty glad I didn't now because this figure looks to be really what I've been looking for

Missile launcher looks to be all in one with the figure and can move up and down, which MMC's didn't do

To think, I gave up on the MP line and already starting to sell some figures off.....

This looks fantastic. With the right paint and color scheme it could look amazing with the official MPs, but that face sculpt needs a bit of work or we need some alternative faces. I think the problem is that a) the eyes are a tiny bit too small, and b) the face is too long, especially the nose.

The design choices that were made here versus MMC's are interesting. TE opts for a stricter toon accurate bot mode, which they clearly have an advantage over MMC's from a front on view. I'm definitely a fan of the accurate toe/foot design, and the knees being actual blocky square elements versus engine parts. However, it leads to a heel comprised of a car spoiler, which is not toon accurate. Also putting the engine blocks onto the back is quite smart, as it affords the more toon accurate lower leg. The only downside to relocating parts elsewhere, ie. the engine onto the back of the figure, it becomes less svelte as MMC's overall body.

Basically you can get a cleaner, toon accurate look from the front with TE's, the only downside being inaccurate heel-spurs and a chunkier backpack. Honestly for me, these are pretty moot points since I think it's still handled pretty well. MMC's definitely has the overall cleaned up proportion going for it, however being that it's simply a cleaner look from the back, that may not even be relevant for your tastes. MMC goes for that slightly cleaner proportion achieved by incorporating existing elements of the car to emulate toon inspired pieces. Meanwhile TE is actually giving us the toon look, while relocating specific parts with minor detraction to the overall design. Tough choice for me on this one, but at least we have two choices that aren't DX9 lol.

Also, is this actually confirmed to be released by TE?

That and the lack of thigh swivel are my only complaints about their Prime.
