Easily my new favourite figure, knocking MPM-3 off the throne.

The issues I had with him, the tiny head and the chest, look a lot better in person than in pictures, though I do plan on modding the latter eventually.

The lack of outwards hip ratchets is disappointing though.

*sigh* I am... considering him. Does anyone have a picture of this guy with the current MPM Autobots? I know in vehicle mode he definitely scales better, but I fear his robot mode may be huge.

 

I think he scales well with Jazz and BB. But ironhide looks ridiculous next to him. I had to get an OS Ironhide (black mamba) to make the whole thing work.

 

That Ironhide is Black mamba and Bumblebee is a repaint of the official MPM.

 

Wait for the Black Apple version.

For like a year? Nah, I picked BMB LS-09 and it's pretty solid. If anything, I'll sell it later and get BA.

Anyway, after 2 weeks my tracking finally kicked in! I'm expecting to have him delivered next week...

That repainted Bumble Bee is tight. If so remember correctly, he doesn't transform? Hope they made something like that in the future. Looks so good.

 

Excellent timing! I was planning on transforming him today!  

Compared to the regular MPM Ironhide he will look huge, and he'll be the same height as Megatron.
Your options for those two are currently Black Mambas LS-09 for Ironhide or the eventual Black Apple Ironhide, which most likely won't be out for a year.
And LS-12 for Megatron, or the Wei Jiang OS KO. There's also a 1:1 KO that has better paint than the official if you like the two of them being the same height.

I threw in the Leader Class as he's the same height as MPM-4, and Firage as he is the right size for the Leader and the official MPM (Meaning DotM Deluxe size)
But as you can see MPM-3 scales nicely with BA Prime.

And here's BmB Ironhide next to them. Which works nicely in my opinion. (Except for Dino of course)

 

If you plan to transform him today, could you also transform Ironhide and post here a couple of comparison picture in altmode? I know they scale well in botmode but altmode can be different....

 

Nah I gotta wait for the PO to redeliver. If I call and ask them to hold it at the PO for me then it'll take two days to "process" that request in which time I might have received it. Hope you got yours!

 

Isn't that annoying? We're like, "Hey, just leave my package there, I'll come pick it up. You don't have to load it, deliver it, get a signature or anything. Just set if off to the side and I'll come take it off your hands." and they're like, "Well, we better lock this in the system as 'unexpected event' for a couple of days till we decide where to out this. Maybe we'll send it back to the previous distribution center for good measure."

I'm grateful for our postal workers, but man, they could really make things go little smoother sometimes.

My local post office said he'll be ready for pick up later today. Fingers crossed for both of us!

 

He looks great with OS figures. I really want this figure in my collection and i have the usual crew to go with him but WJ Blackout, BMB Starscream, Leader Sentinel do not scale with him and have no OS alternatives. Plus his relatively high price deters me from this purchase. May be when masterpiece Starscream gets released and OSed i will revise my position on the subject.

 

I don't know the exact dimensions of the Peterbilt, as none of the search results I find are consistent.
But I think they look ok together. Ironhide looks a bit too big, but they're not too far off.

 

Is that the regular Ironhide or the BMB?

 

Hey guys, does anyone own "taikongzhans" oversized DOTM megatron ? He's a bit bigger than ROTF L.class Prime so I think he should scale perfectly with WeiJiang Optimus. If so he might be Ultimate Megatron to display with 3rd party OS figures
