Well Lazy Aza did say final revision 's wouldn't be done until late April, so June makes sense. We've been looking at test shots all thus time, test shots that need color corrections and more paint. I noticed in one picture part of the tracks were still green.

Bruticus(and probably defensor) has a unique advantage when it comes to all-in-one. The brick-ness and simple transformations of the main bodies allow for combiner parts to be easily hidden in the body.

Devastator is a really tricky one. Mostly when it comes to the waist/long haul. Just look at Hastak's devy, Long haul is giant and much less accurate then the other characters.

I'm not saying at devy, menasor, superion, or computron cant be done but if you are going to attempt to make all figures and modes cartoon accurate, it is going to be tough.

    Robot, yes. Tank, no.

Badcube did a really good job of getting him to mass-shift. Goes from carbot size in robot mode to at least twice that in tank mode. I don't think he'll be that much smaller than Brawl in vehicle mode, actually.

Personally I think that Devastator's forearms would be harder to accomplish than Longhaul. Titan Devastator, if i remember correctly, was designed by one of the MP guys, and he actually used his MP Devastator designs as a base because the likelihood of an actual MP Devastator was basically "never gonna happen" so the basic engineering ideas were repurposed for titan devy.

I feel like Longhaul ended up as large as he did not because of engineering, but because of budget. While an MP longhaul might still end up larger than the rest of the Constructicons for similar reasons, i don't think it would be nearly to the extent of CW if designed by the right people. Maybe larger/taller by a head, but not a full class size.

DX9 Hulkie is actually a great example of an all built in Devastator. Granted Hulkie's proportions are basically fucked in every mode, but it's also a legends sized team, imagine taking the same engineering concepts and blowing them up to MP size with an MP budget.

Hell, Hulkie even managed to incorporate a friggin spinning turret into Scavenger!

In my opinion the best MP Devastator we would get would be a fusion of CW Devastator and DX9 Hulkie with some 3rd party brand black magic to hide things (like what takara did with MP inferno's ladder or what MMC is doing here with the combiner bits for bruticus.)

that being said, if we were going for crazy toon accuracy i dont think Longhaul would matter in the same ways, as Scrapper and Mixmaster actually make up the entirety of Devastators legs, Longhaul only fills out the stomach and the hips. it would be more like a TR titan Predaking deal with the legs.

Was just hedging my bets, really. Not home at the moment to see how he stacks up against Impetus, and the group shots.

I had a similar problem - My Impetus was missing a side mirror. BBTS didn't have the part and told me to exchange the figure. I should have reached out to MMC because it seemed silly to return the whole figure for a tiny part.

Hell yeah. He is bigger than i expected. Would you say he is the same size as a MP Seeker?

I always presumed that the Combaticons didn't hang around the Decepticon base that much. I always imagined they were too busy working as mercs or taking over small South American governments.

Hate to tell you this, but that's not all built in. The hands and firearms add on parts. As far as I know, Assaultus is the only true all built in combiner. There's no add on parts required, including hands and feet. Yes, there is an add-on kit, but it's not required.

They're tow-along generators that don't have to be removed. So technically all-in-one.

Depends on your definition. They're not part of the bots themselves so, to me at least, it's an add on. Regardless, it's way less parts forming than most MP combiners not made by MMC use these days.

Well it’s like the shoes for this set. They can be included with the figures, best in vehicle mode though. But Assaultus doesn’t need his shoes. If Gravity Builder already had arms without those generators it’d be more fair a comparison.
