Try attaching the c clip to her anchor first. Then attach the anchor the the spider abdomen. Finally, gently slide the c clip part into the web stand.

Got Blackarachnia last night.

I don't know what to say/write, beyond "meh".

She's weird. Not really like any Transformer I've ever had.

Glad she was (relatively) cheap. I mean, she feels like a Deluxe.

 

This is probably one of the most unique takes I've seen. The combination of "meh" and "she was cheap" I have never seen before.

 

It is weird, I'll give you that. I don't know what to make of it yet. Nothing about it feels like a Transformer, from the joints to the materials to the paint. It feels like an action figure.

Granted, the robot mode is perfect, so there's that.

 

I agree 100% actually. I haven't seen it discussed much, but when I first got her to robot mode, I totally did have this thought that it "felt" like an action figure. Like, it reminded me of a marvel legends figure or something. So I understand this completely. She definitely *feels* different than other transformers.

I just haven't enjoyed the MP Beast Wars. I'm sure people will argue this and that, and I MUST be the problem, but other than Primal and Megatron, I really am not excited by the Beast Wars figures. It doesn't help that I think the prices are outrageous. I let it slip what Dinobot cost the other night and the wife couldn't get over it. I might as well have told her the Honda outside was $400K!

She's just so...small. There's not much mass at all, and the joints are all swivels and ball joints, so it doesn't really feel like it transforms...it just positions, if that makes any sense. I mean the finish is quite nice, but it has to be the smallest amount of plastic I've paid over $100 for.

The beast mode is utter rubbish, but we have to be getting used to that. I guess we all just shrug our shoulders in regard to beast mode.

I knew she was gonna be tiny - and so the joints would be very tiny - so I knew that unless these were the finest joint parts (quality and fit-wise) Takara has ever made, she would be extremely limited. As it turns out - on my copy at least - the joints are a mixed bunch, so my BA is going to be standing at attention if/when she's out.

Meh.

 

Sorry to hear you aren't really enjoying the BW MPs and don't care for the beast modes  
Hopefully they'll grow on you. Otherwise perhaps better to sell them?

This is probably my favorite shelf right now and I think in context BA's beast mode looks pretty good.

 

I broke my optimus primal in half while transforming him today. It's been awhile since I touched him. Time to get a new one. Besides the paint apps being different, is the Sumpreme Commander version any better?

Do you have a personal connection to the show? Cause every one of these characters just walked off the screen. That's the excitement for most people, or at least myself. If you don't have that same connection, that might be the problem.

Yeah.. she's small. It's 100% justified to be disappoitned by that. She's supposed to be that small, so I'm happy with the size. The cost is... high. Why is it high? Is it because she took extra R&D? Is it because the cost of toys are going up? No idea. But from the patterns I'm seeing, I don't expect them to stop going up. I'd maybe question if this is the right line for you if this is how you're feeling at this point.

If that's how you feel it's perfectly fine. But if you've been around for the conversations back when Primal and Cheetor first came out, Dinobot, Blackarachnia, Terrasaur and Airazor where the big ones that people have been wondering how they will even manage to do it. There had to be compromises. Blackarachnia's Beast mode to me is acceptible. It doesn't blow my mind or anything, but considering the absolute perfect robot mode, it does the job for me, and I actually have her in the mode right now and it's really grown on me.

 

The action figure aspect of her is why I like her so much. She's fun to pose... a legitimate transforming wall crawler. She's definitely classic deluxe sized but the articulation and paint clearly differentiate her from regular deluxes.

I think it may have the updated beast shoulders, which sit more flush in beast mode, and hide the robot arms better.

I’m afraid of breaking the crotch piece. Plus, I just like the Dino mode. Same with all of the Beast wars MP figures.
