Just opened mine up finally. Not blown away with the quality tbf. Loose hips although he can hold a high thigh pose and the Autobot emblem is 100% wonky and off centre.

Mp44 was sublime. Fantastic. This not so much.

He'll look good on the shelf though.

Ugh, I'm not normally a downer, but I have to say out of all the MPs in the new 'toon era, this is the worst. That doesn't mean it's a terrible figure in and of itself, but a really downer in terms of feel compared to MP-44. The clear plastic hinge for the rear wheels is especially scary. I don't even care about the feet or backpack or price. But my legs are really loose and it just doesn't feel solid like previous MPs.

ARGH! Right out of the box!

After handling MP45 for a day, I am really enjoying the figure.
Sure, it is a pain to tab everything in altmode. But the end result in both modes is something that I’ve only dreamt of.
    MP45 looks amazing.
Now, I have pretty much crapped out on previous releases when it came to paint finish and other issues (MP Hot Rod paint chip on face that looks like a mole, tracks dented plastic mould, Megatron paint scuffs and loose arm swivels, etc) but my copy of B is darn close to perfect. I’ve lucked out.
I don’t think it ought to be this way, like winning the lotto, receiving a pristine figure. I have to agree that with the added delay of the figure, there should have been less QC issues out there.
I really hope that those that got a crap figure can return and replace, and that it does not turn people off the line. I can only imagine what the future holds for the figures they have yet to release, to those that can use a total make-over (I’m looking at you Starscream and Grimlock).
I ready for Cliffjumper now, TT. Make it happen!

    OK.

    He's growing on me.

The loose hips are only for a few mm's then it's tight for dynamic poses. Only thing bugging me is that Autobot logo being wonky

    That being said:

    PicsArt_12-02-03.32.08.jpg

    He's a photogenic little bugger!

The factory QC really let this figure down,he's actually a pretty fun figure with a fun tranformation.

Finally got to open BB up after the long and busy weekend. I’m fortunate he didn’t have some of the major issues like uneven paint that others have reported. I was worried all weekend which Schrödinger's Bee I might get when I open the box. The transformation was actually fun and easy. I’m often struggling to follow the directions but everything was smooth, except the time when he broken in half during mid transformation, lol. It was a mili-second of terror until I remembered it was a removable mushroom peg that’s allowed to do that. Over all, I agree with most of the comments here. He’s a tiny car, amazing cartoon likeness in bot mode, too few accessories, should’ve either been $20 less or added more bonus stuff, the folding back parts is very nice, crappy loose hip/legs, the paint on the gun is so thick it has trouble pegging in the rear or being held.

The bot mode is the superstar of show. The best likeness of Sunbow BumbleBee ever. He’s virtually an action figure if you don’t see the back.

I hope Takara’s QC managers get there act together. We all pay good money for MPs that should justify the price.

I’m personally thrilled about the way MP45 looks. The loose hips and overall lack of bonus pieces take some of the fun away.

Not good reviews thus far. Glad I waited. I think I'll be skipping MP-45. I'm still traumatized by MP-44 with the paint chipping and joint issues. TT needs to up it's MP game... instead of just upping their prices.

    An unexpected bonus;

This fresh lemon yellow color MP45 is sporting really stands out against all previous MPs.

I enjoy MP-45, but I won’t deny that he mostly feels like a comforting update for the current aesthetic and approach to articulation (waist aside  ), rather than an exciting release in his own right. A bit like a watered down MP-44.

Neither of these characters had the benefit of “total newness” in their favour, but they are top tier in terms of their profile in the series, and obviously TT felt they needed to be updated to reflect where things are at. For what it’s worth, and perhaps unsurprisingly, I agree.

I’ve had MP-45 next to Inferno, Grapple, and Optimus (vibrant toon overload!), then switched him in with Tracks and Bluestreak for those ‘Trans Europe Express’ feels (on that note, it would have been nice to get a ‘Pearl of Bahoudin’ accessory, or any other accessories for that matter...), and he looks just right.

The only regret I have is buying a second on a whim. I was being a tad silly at the time I reordered, and would have preferred another Blackarachnia now that all is said and done. :lol

Regardless of whether this and the various repaints were worth it to people, I wonder if it’s safe to say that the Autobot refresh could potentially be considered ‘complete’ at this point - with the possible exception of Sideswipe/RA which, might I add, I wouldn’t complain about. It makes me excited about which heroes we will see next.

On a sadder note, my latest deliveries from Amazon JP (MP-45 and MP-46) mark the end of my orders from said seller. They are suspending sales to NZ customers, for the foreseeable future, due to the requirement to collect GST from December 1 - it was fun while it lasted.

Here's a comparison of MP-45 against some of the previous MPs in the series. This is to address some of the hate towards the figure that I think is unwarrented :D

My copy seems to be clipping in better the more I transform him (apart from that damn left wheel arch  ).

Might not look like it from the close up shots, but he is now more appealing to look at in vehicle mode than my first transformation.

    Here's my latest attempt -
    20191202_202830.jpg 20191202_202748.jpg 20191202_202913.jpg

Despite this, I really cant help but feel let down by this figure. I'm not a guy who will transform his figures once then be happy to leave it in bot mode. I want change it, fiddle with it and give both modes a go.

For me yes the bot mode looks great. But the transformation back to vehicle mode is a big let down and the end result is just, well, average at best.

When you think I paid more for this figure than I did for Sunstreaker, well, that just makes it even worse.

I know alot it probably boils down to how small Bee is, but when you have other cheaper, bigger figures with such clean alt modes, it makes it really hard to defend the this little guy.

Got this guy this past Wednesday along with Blackarachnia. I like them both but I find myself messing with Bumblebee more. I like the transformation, everything seems to work good on my end with no real trouble. I really like both modes, especially how cartoon accurate they are. The robot mode kibble doesn't bother me at all, the backpack isn't that big and compressed will and the feet just don't bug me. I don't have any major QC issues aside from some slightly loose joints that some floor quickly fixed. One downside is that the trigger on his gun broke when I tried putting it in his hand but that's not a huge deal to me especially since its so small.

Overall I really like this figure. Not super amazing but what he does at such a small size is pretty cool to handle.

Rotate your arm shoulders 180 before folding the forearms up and over. The black shoulders look like they are in the wrong position and forcing them to be taller. They are not symmetrical
