Well my copy of bumblebee did Break earlier this evening before this shoot. While taking these pictures in my booth he did fall and leave a yellow powder of paint flakes.

 

Uh Oh. Is it repairable?

 

Huh. I've seen that the factory reject/KO copies of Bumblebee that folks are picking up seem to be chipping and flaking badly. Is the official Bumblebee doing that as well? I've steered clear of the official threads recently so I'm a little out of the loop

 

Unfortunately no.

 

Yeah I think all of the kos coming out are from the abundance of rejected parts from Takara. Even the official releases are riddled with paint flaws. I guess they couldn’t get it right and didn’t want to waste all the bad parts they made ,meaning all of them, so they shipped the bad ones out at full price as officials and the really bad ones to the unofficial market.

Thanks for that. Just had a quick trawl through the Bumblebee thread.
Seem to be a pretty even split between "mine a perfect figure" and "mines riddled with issues". And that's not good. 50% of reviews saying it's got issues should be a big concern.
And of course, I've yet to see any pictures of MP-45 that doesn't have a crooked faction symbol on the chest.

I'm really enjoying Roadking and Spoiler (got my Spoiler quite late in the party). They totally wowed me and Spoiler is SSSSOOO much more appealing that the XTB carbots ( I have all four of those and they're frankly pretty ho-hum) But XTB MotorMaster is looking seriously impressive. Hefty and intimidating yet also a little more sleek and dynamic looking than Roadking. I think it's going to be a toss-up between XTB and FT as to who has the best MotorMaster (DX9's only real win is how clean their back is, but otherwise their stuff feels off to me)
I'm confident FT will still win Combined mode and 4 out of 5 bot modes, but MM could go either way. I think Spoiler wins alt mode (not just because of colour, but he just feels cleaner) so I'll be curious to see how the other limb bots compare as vehicles to XTB's effort

Wife wanted to know what to get me this year and I was going to point her to Motormaster but he is sold out everywhere so I'll have to find something else.

 

Pre-orders are still available at BBTS and TCP. Only setback is it looks like it's coming out in January now instead of December
