Well, you're right in that Takara doesn't understand "Masterpiece" anymore with the inclusion of MP V3 and Bee 2.

That dig out of the way, until there's something of substance to support the apparent branding, I will remain skeptical.

 

Omg yes. Officially excited. I also hope they use this as an opportunity to set in stone Takara MP Combiner scale at 20”. Obviously they won’t be in scale with MP-10 just like all the 3P combiners aren’t. They’d be way, way too big. But the market has spoken a little bit on this already and MP combiners as far as 3Ps go are settling right around that 20” mark and I love that height and it fits MP perfect imo. Bigger MPs like Ft Max can get upscale a little to 24” and arguably smaller ones can hit 18” but I really hope that’s where Takara puts their MP combiner sizes. Not only do they look good but I already have too many 3P combiners in that size to change it now haha

 

And here I thought Takara would never do an MP Combiner. I still need to see how well this stacks up to Zeta's take as so far the latter has had a good track record for combiners

 

X-Transbots Monolith with his carbot sized limbs, MP-10 sized middle bot, and 20” combined mode would like to have a word with you...

 

I think this will be at most Star Saber size.

No way will they be coming out with something that's in scale.

 

Actually MP Star Saber is massively undersized, Star Saber at MP scale should be around a hypothetical MP Jetfire size, he was the largest Autobot of his time, larger than Jetfire

 

I will be so interested to see how this develops in terms of size, price and component integration and therefore how future G1 masterpiece combines could measure up to the current 3p offerings. 

 

He’s consistently shown to be a head shorter than the combiners in victory, all of whom are made up of bots who are smaller than the components of the previous generation of combiners, thus forming smaller combiners...I’ve done the math, the math checks out.

Unless you’re insinuating that Jan is some kind of giant superhuman?






You may not like it, but the onscreen evidence quite clearly shows that Starsaber is not meant to be as large as the likes of Devastator.

 

Well considering MP-44 is more than my credit card limit, this will unfortunately have to be a pass 

 

20" being accepted scale doesn't mean that 20" is actually "in scale"

and Saber is sized right, one or the other had to take the hit. the cartoon embellished the possible size of multi component characters beyond what was possible in reality

Each part will be less than mp44, ignore those saying it'll be a giftset, never gonna happen.

 

Even if you want to say that Liokaiser was smaller than Devastator and other combiners, Star Saber still towered over Voyager and Deluxe equivalent characters going by a WFC scale thus by MP scale SS should have been far larger than UM.

 

I'm bummed this isn't another CW combiner.
After seeing how cool Takaras Piranacon is it got me all excited for them to finish the last few remaining combiners.

 

Wow. Ok then. I'd pick this up if it is MP just to say I'd buy Takara MP Combiners (Assuming they're good)

 

I was hoping for a CHUG scale/price range Raiden. I want to get a Raiden, but this may be beyond my means.

 

No telling how big nor how much Raiden or its members will cost. Were there Decepticons that the Raiden team usually fought against onscreen? That could give us insight to possible size.

I'm hesistant to say never when it comes to pricing and size now, look how much Takara priced MP-44/45, sky high is the limit now for them. Wouldn't put it past them to make a gift set breaking the $1000 mark(as much as I wouldn't want it to happen).

 

1. You can’t use mainline scale to justify masterpiece scale.
2. You’ve proven one of my points as starsaber and deathsaurus are meant to be roughly the same size.
3. Towers over??? Those carbot sized characters hit him at the waist in that scene lol
4. He is taller than magnus by a good head.
5. MP Magnus is too big, this is accepted as fact at this point.

Im just gonna stop numbering now, but for the record, he DOES tower over the likes of wheeljack, as your last screen cap suggests, in fact MP-24 is probably BIGGER when compared to masterpiece Wheeljack than siege Jetfire is when compared to WFC wheeljack.

 

If we go by this picture I'd say the combined mode is about 2 to 3 mts tall.
