I just thought we were lucky to have gotten the last wave of Siege this time, that maybe wave 8 Deluxes would be here at least a week or 2 earlier before January 1st. Plus it's just been 4 months time a new release.

Was already known for almost a year now, Hasbro was quick to call BB the launch of a reboot. No news here really Other than them confirming to everyone "those 5 movies before are 100% not part of BB"

I thought this was known for a while. Even though they're rebooting the franchise, I'd be ok with Kevin Dunn being Sparkplug.

    Haha!!
The way I understood it, the Bee movie is also getting the scrapper. So anything new that comes out will not follow the Bee movie.

Im quite curious... for those of you that started the movieverse toy collecting, what was your first toy from the movies and what got you into the movie collecting?

Here is my story.... I was born in 91, so I started watching and collecting Beast Wars in the 90s and later Transformers Armada / Energon in the early 2000s. Transformers got quiet for me... saw 2007 movie but missed out on toys (wasnt buying toys in High School) it wasnt until 2009 when I received a $25 Target gift card in a raffle from my High School for graduating seniors that I decided to buy my 2 younger brothers some transformes toys with.... they were 8 and 9 years younger than me, so 10 and 11 years old. I wanted them to experience tranaformers like how I was buying the armada / energon toys.

Anyways, so I bought Deluxe Class Breakaway and Deluxe Class Sideways as all of the ROTF stuff was coming out in the late Spring of 2009. Boy oh boy what getting a job did for me... i ended up buying nearly the whole toy line as we all fell in love with the movies and their figures. Probably wouldnt have my collection if it werent for that $25 Target gift card back in 09. Still have that Breakaway to this day...

    What is your story?

    says in that very article
So BB is still very much a part of it. No reason for them to scrap the movie that made people like TF movies again.

"With 1980s nostalgia still currently all the rage, Paramount are also reportedly considering more faithful designs for the Autobots and Decepticons"

    Oh fuck off already

Can you tell I'm still salty about this?

Was very young when TF07 came out. My dad brought home a DVD of the film, I saw Blackout wiping out a military base and thought "daaamn that's awesome!"
So of course my first figure was Legends Class Blackout. I still have him... missing his helicopter tail.

Its honestly embarrassing by Hasbro the rat-shit figures we received for Ratchet. Like no love whatsoever. Any and all decent ones are puny deluxes. Here is to a hopefully great MPM Ratchet figure soon!

We had 10 years of fun new designs, I think it's ok for them to go back to Transformer's roots at this point. Plus I don't care too much about them using G1 designs, as long as the writing is good. (the writing in the bay movies gave me a 10 year headache)

Edit* After reading the comment below, got to ask, why do people hate each other so much? "You like the bay films? wtf is wrong with you", "You liked BB? Uggh Geewuners suck, make them go away". People need to respect each other's tastes a bit more. Then again, I am among the few that like both G1 and bayverse designs, so I guess I'm the crazy one

At this point I'm over ranting about the nostalgia bait garbage. I'm not going to see the Geewun movies, I'm not buying the figures, I'm ignoring the Geewunners and Bumblebee elitists raving like toddlers. No point in staying mad over it.

Now that's exciting news right there. Can't wait for him and Starscream

Here's the way I see it, (I'm only talking about designs btw, I agree about the writing) in those 10 years we've only gotten 5 movies with 2-3 years in between them. Now, are we just looking at the movies? Are we ignoring every other piece of media? Because in between those years there's been some g1 influence. NuRID leaned a bit on g1, machinima went full on g1 (and surprisingly satisfied some fans), power of the Primes was more g1 after two lines that mixed a little bit of idw on them.
Maybe I've just seen the worse of this fandom so I frequently question if they truly deserve more g1 on the big screen.
Sorry for the speech, ended up being longer than expected

Bay movies get so much unnecessary flak...the only one that I’ll admit sucked was the last night. I really liked bumblebee so if this new reboot goes this route I’ll still root for it, I just hope they don’t try and make it exactly like the cartoons.

Thank you so much! I think I'll just do the arm fix. Also I don't know if anyone has mentioned this problem yet, but the leg ratchets on my Long Haul don't match up. One leg is always pointing just a bit upwards which doesn't allow allow the figure to properly stand up. I can provide pictures if needed.
