I always see the KO Lionbots on sale on ebay. Has anyone seen any KO Dairuggers on sale? The one that's the same size as the original, not the smaller scale one.
I cut a very small square piece of plumber's tape and it worked really well. Can even spin the rotors with no issue. Mine was a weird peg was small and hole was big. Plumber's tape filled that gap and rotor now sits very snug in place.
Got my Chogokin Dairugger today and I'm having flashbacks of breaking the white tabs on the bottom of the red fighter that lets it attach to the chest of the Matchbox version I had as a kid. I combined the air team together without a hitch but now I'm trying to remove the red fighter here so I can turn it around for full combined mode but it doesn't want to let go of the central chest ship. Is there a trick to this? Edit: Got it. Had to take a small screwdriver to apply a tiny bit of pressure to pry the rear tab away. Didn't take much. Although I wish I didn't need a tool. Also, and this might be early, but I think I might like this more than Chogokin Go Lion.
The trick is to : see where the nosecone is on the red fighter and then push up and out going in the opposite direction of the nosecone. Do not try to just take it straight off as it will never let go.
Picked up my SOC Dairugger GX-88 this evening from the post office after hours. The USPS letter carrier driver delivered my regular mail but not my GX-88 package. The status update said it has been out for delivery since 7AM this morning with actual delivery by 8PM tonight. 7PM came and no delivery. I immediately called my USPS post office and explained my concern. The lady on the phone allowed my to come by after hours and pick it up. Oddly enough while I was on the phone I got an alert saying "Delivery Exception" that no one was available for the package to be delivered which made no sense at all. I was home, no one came to my door and the package didn't even require a signature. I wasn't gonna wait for another delivery attempt on Monday while I'm at work. Delivery was scheduled for today so I want my package today. I picked it up around 7:45PM tonight. Man, I tell ya, the letter carrier that service my street is lazy as hell.
I have no issues removing the red fighter by pulling up from the centre back and pressing down on the cockpit at the same time. It just pops right off with little effort. At least on my copy. Playing with it more and really loving this more than GX-71Go Lion... and I don't have any real attachment to VV I mean just putting it together into the combined team modes is just fun to mess and swoosh with. Then slap it together for Voltron and go back to teams. I would love to play with the car feet racing, but one of the wheels won't spin freely (like a bit flash is stuck in it somewhere preventing it from spinning freely). Yep, a kid that never grew up... LOL
The mailman wouldn't get out of his damn mailman car to deliver Vehicle Voltron to my front door at 7:53 p.m. tonight! lol. There's snow and it's dark, but damn, I should've ran out there when I saw him pull up to the snail boxes. "Delivery Attempted - No Access to Delivery Location"
Sometimes what you mentioned in the last paragraph is what really sells a toy for me. It's a given these days to expect high accuracy from these collectibles but for one to acknowledge and honor its toy origins, that to me, is a Voltron made in the right direction.
I got an extra vv from amazon since I wasn’t sure if they would cancel my order or not. I can help someone out who wants it for the 339 and shipping to your place. Box is a bit scuffed as expected from amazon shipping.
Amazon, and USPS. It hasn't been delivered yet, the mail man didn't want to get out of his mail car yesterday, lol. I did get an update and it's out for delivery today on a Sunday. Hope the mailman is brave enough today to get out of his mail car this time and walk through some snow, lol. He sped off yesterday after pulling up to the mailboxes and just delivering regular snail mail.
Make sure you watch him like a hawk today and tomorrow. When you see him pull up, get out there too. Lol.
My GX-88 arrived in the mail, yesterday. Unfortunately, I won’t really get to look at it until Christmas, but at least it got here with no issues.
Yay! The mailman just delivered! Product box is in good shape despite being from Amazon. No dents or anything! So far so good!
Welcome to the GX-88 owners club, my brother! Now that I have this set, along with the GX-71 reissue, my 6-7 month quest for Bandai SOC Voltron has concluded.
