He really does look much better in hand than in any pic we had seen of him prior. The door-feet are almost a non issue for me.

 

Pretty happy with this guy. Now I just need to figure out the transformation back to bug

 

So I asked this in the appreciation thread, but does anyone happen to have a color match on this guy, yet?  

 

I believe someone said lemon yellow. Mr hobby if I recall... it's not that long ago, but how many pages, and in which thread, I can't recall. Try a search for lemon yellow for each thread and I'm sure you'll find it

Knew I definitely had the name of the colour right, it stuck in my head for some reason...

 

I bought a jar of tamiya lemon yellow, and it came in today. It is a match. The painter in me disagrees that this should be called lemon yellow. It's far too orange for that. lol.

I think that is why the name stuck with me, actually - because I don't see the paint as 'lemon' when I look at the figure

He has a really fun transformation 

 

This is definitely my favorite MP to just mess with and transform back and forth since MP-29. It gets easier every time you do it, and while tabbing it all together in the end remains a slight chore, it's so adorable I can't care.

There are also all these little things I notice more and more that I love. (Literally little, I mean.) Such as the way the grooves on his rear tire in bot mode line up perfectly with his windshield wipers when you have it transformed correctly. Or the way the ledge of the door under his foot aligns with the wheel well bit from the front of the car just so. The way moving the front bumpers down in bot mode completes the "flatness" of his feet.

Soooo much thought went into this.

 

I'll keep it brief since this is the positive thread, but I have the exact same issue.....

 

After a shaky start I'm starting to really like him....wonky Autobot symbol aside:

 

Are you sure that mark can’t be wiped or rubbed off? The plastic under the yellow paint must be yellow as well so that black mark must be dirt or black paint on top of the yellow paint. I had a few small black marks on mine in a different spot and I was able to remove them.
