@TigerBlade with the wheels out on Drag Strip can you still have the little bits above the tires out too? not awake yet so don't know if I'm making sense.

Is the gun from the toy version the same color as the toon version?

Gravestone is looking better than expected. The extra contours give it a slightly more dynamic look than the blocky looking G1 model. The metallic purple on the vehicle mode looks really cool. It screams Decepticon. Now I want to get Gravestone and Roadking.

Wow, thats great. I actually wanted to see how this looked when they first announced the toy version. Man, if they released the toy version with an extra toon head I would buy it in a heartbeat. Looks so cool. I'm assuming it still transforms fine?

Brilliant. Thank's very much. The painted cream looks really smart. I really like the toy versions but space and money are a limit (specialy this time of year) however a fully painted version of Crackup + the cool G1 style box is very tempting!

Roadking had the arms improved with some paint apps to fit a masterpiece aesthetic so they don't look like cheap bare plastic. Here's hoping Gravestone does as well.

Breakdown I'm not sure, cartoon version gun is still in the box. Dragstrip they're definitely different.

Should do, they look pretty much the same size.

I can't remember if toon is painted or bare plastic. If it's bare then it'll be different as the toy looks painted. Probably similar to how the blue looks on each figure but I'll dig the box out tomorrow evening and check.

Haha you're right! I meant looks nicer

Do you mind doing head swap for Drat Strip as well?

Crack Up looks great with the head swap

Do you even have to transform the shoulders and hood flap on Overheat out of alt mode to robot mode? Wondering if those steps are even necessary and hinder poseability or if they just amount to a visual preference.

I don't transform either part and the only limit to articulation is the hood flap gets in the way of some of the more extreme poses and a bit of the waist rotation.

Nope, it's all visual. "Youth" Overheat even depicts the shoulder wheels sticking straight up, since that's how the G1 toy had them configured (they didn't hinge on the original toy). The front end folding up doesn't do anything for the structural integrity of the toy, it's just for a cleaner front silhouette of the toy.

See the last page. I didn't touch the shoulder wheels on one of my Dragstrip's as it's accurate to the original toy.

I still haven't modded my toon version front spoiler so that's slightly misstransformed too but doesn't affect anything on robot mode.

The purple grill/fuel tanks are more than just screaming Decepticon, it's the colour scheme of the cartoon:

Fanstoys Roadking is an odd hybrid of toy and winging it:

Yeah the grill is chrome but the fuel tanks should be purple. I imagine 'youth' Gravestone will mimic just that.
