I find a lot of FansToys releases to be overrated. Most look fantastic, but many suffer from being engineering nightmares when it comes to transforming them. That alone just sucks all the enjoyment from them for me.

- FT Jabber
- FT Terminus Giganticus
- FT Insecticons
- FT Tesla
- FT Lupus
- FT Sovereign
- FT Willis

All these are examples of overrated figures from FT. It does NOT mean they are bad! Many of the above listed are really good releases. I love Sovereign, Tesla, and Road King, for example. But their transformations kills it for me for example. The bugs are too big and heavy and feel clunky to me, and Jabber is just ridiculous with his transformation.

To be fair, I do love their Dibots and find them living up to their hype. Same goes for their Quake Wave. But overall, I find FT to be overrated.

I dunno if I got a later version of FansHobby Overlord or something but mine is very easy to stand in a whole variety of poses. He even stands up well on my bed, which a lot of figures struggle with.

 

Honestly, Fanshobby Powerbaser. He's gorgeous, I loved him visually, but in hand the transformation is just awful and he's so clunky. Really hoping we see a different MP Ginrai at some point, because I love the design so much.

 

He is the one transformer where I really, really wish they had just gone with partsforming. The transformation would be great if you didn't have to thread that fuckin arm through his feet and end up unpegging and fucking up his legs and making him sit weird just so you can put his combined mode head on.

Oh cool everyone has said FT already. Aight I got no business to be here.

 

I'd say KFC Transistor, everyone seems to own one just because it's the only "masterpiece" Blaster around, but when I got the figure myself I was really unimpressed, it felt like a light cheap plastic toy and i sold it almost immediatly. I could buy better Hasbro figures for half the price they are asking for it, no way it's worth that price;
Also the cassettes with him were complete trash, ugly paint and they could not even stand.
