    Little stuff I'm gradually noticing:

-Most of the red and blue is all bare plastic. I like that, means less paint scratching.

-The hands are either painted or flat coated, they have a very different finish compared to the other blue.

-he has the old problem of not being able to hold his gun straight because his wrists are so big. There's enough movement in the wrists for different poses though.

-The waist swivel is on an upwards angle. Makes posing automatically a little bit more dynamic.

    - Wasn't a big fan of the long waist in pics, but in person it's fine. It makes him look bulky but slim in a good way.

-Love the headsculpt. Somehow looks very ... determined? Big fan of the angled antennas.

Here he is either wrestling or dancing with his shipping companion, Figma SSSS Gridman.
Coincidentally I like Prime more than Gridman as of right now. Gridman is beautifully sculpted, painted and also features some crazy articulation (at least for figma standards). But the first thing I noticed out of the box was a wobbly chest swivel, so I'm stuck with a negative first impression for now. He is cheaper than Prime though...

Does anyone have the guts to panel line his figure? I feel like the red plastic, especially the back would benefit a lot from it but I'm afraid of my Gundam Marker attacking the plastic/paint.

This figure is mainly made of ABS instead of PVC so that's where the money largely went probably(and maybe why it's smaller than other recent Revoltechs). Also I read that the waist joint is tilted at an angle but isn't hindered at all, that's crazy!
Unless you have the weathering Gundam Marker with a brushtip and has water-based ink, I'd avoid using a Gundam marker, as the paint can seep between the ABS plastic joints and crack them apart. GM21 is the one I'd use.

Just got this figure, it's very nice, but one of the front skirts snapped of the ball joint literally 10 minutes out of the box while moving the leg up. Must have been some already weak plastic, the other one shows no signs of breaking so easily. Might try gluing it back on, but the joint is very small and I'm not so sure it would stay on if moved. A bit disappointing for a £70 purchase, but other than that glaring issue it's a very cool figure. Love the design and love how poseable it is...just be extra careful with those front skirts.

Gundam marker is fine - its the enamel based panel liners that can cause cracking in plastics (due the solvent based thinner they are mixed with). The standard gundam marker will have no negative effects on the plastic.

My first Revoltech figure and he's pretty fantastic.

I thought he was going to be almost model-kit type fiddly but he's not, the joints were perfect, not too tight and not too loose. I hope they do a few more figures like Megs, Starscream, and Soundwave and even a few Autobots would be cool too.

Anyway, great figure and I am super pleased with him, I can't recommend him enough.

Regular Gundam marker has cracked hard ABS plastic on my Transformers before when it seeped into the pin slots.

Careful with the skirt flaps in front. Jobby the Hong broke his during his "Review". The front skirts needs to be flipped up first before moving the thighs. That or Jobby was just careless or he got a bad sample.

Yup. I tried being careful and lift up the front skirt on his right leg to do a pose and it already starting to stress and about to snap.
Very disappointed about this common issue. I'm not sure how should i fix this.

I wasn't expecting to click on this thread and find a second figure I needed to buy, but I have a severe lack of SSSS Gridman toys in my life and this may be my answer to it.

So I wish I could tell you he's been holding up perfectly, but over the last few months I've noticed a lot of imperfections on this guy.

First of all even though the shoulder armor moves it still bumps into the upper arm swivel a lot, creating little dents in the shoulder armor, which is annoying. The same swivel has also gotten really waggly on both sides, though it does still hold poses.
The ankle joints are so tight I think I broke a toe joint while trying to move them. It normally didn't bend downwards but now it does.
A lot more annoying are the hands, which now sit really loose on his wrist balljoints after swapping them a few times.
No breakage on the skirt pieces though, they popped out a few times but easily went back in.

I know this sounds really negative compared to my initial thoughts, but these nitpicks were really noticeable to me, especially because I really like this figure otherwise. I still don't regret my purchase and would still recommend this figure in a heartbeat, but it's far from perfect.

I've also had it with Figmas QC lately, the Saber 2.0 I recently received had really loose waist joints, which this Gridman is also a victim of. It's still an incredibly pretty figure and maybe you won't be bothered by joint tolerances as much as I am, but I can't see myself recommending any figmas anytime soon.

I was really hoping this thing would be near flawless.
Maybe a KO company can step in and make a better quality version.

I mean I still like the figure, he's really fun to pick up and play around with, and apart from what I've mentioned his joints have held up really well.
It just seems like the usual "rough" finish I've experienced with Revoltech figures in comparison to, let's say, SHF. And now that they're starting to enter that price range more and more I'm hoping they'll also start polishing their products more, that'd make me real happy.
