They started charging tax on ebay

 

We know they have been doing it for awhile now.  

 

Besides, there are still some states in the US that still don't get charged tax on Ebay......at least for now.

 

Like what? Just curious. Places to move to...

 

Oregon has no sales tax, but income tax is ~10% off each paycheck.  

The other four is New Hampshire, Alaska, Montana, and Delaware.

Every other state will have eBay eventually collecting taxes for them if they haven't already.

 

Huh, never knew that. So that seems a major loss. Why?

 

Georgia for example.

 

The problem with sales tax over the internet is that, even if you live in a state that doesn't collect tax for online sales, the seller you're buying from probably does, and automatically charges tax to your purchase anyway. This gets much more complicated when you live in a state that doesn't charge tax on food, clothing, or medications and supplements, but the seller charges you tax on those items anyways, even if their own state doesn't either. I suspect it may take awhile, and a large number of people will never be reimbursed, but they'll eventually have the checkout systems more up to date with tax code, and not require buyers to spend so much extra time on their tax returns accounting for all of this.

 

Looks like that seller now has 6 available priced at $180 shipped. That's a pretty substantial drop and definitely below the average going price atm.. I've been seriously considering picking one up but I'm not quite sure about this guy now.

I got the Pocket Toys KO of IF Brutucus from jiangyaoming2018_0 this week. Intact but the package was pretty roughed up Usual styrofoam and amber tape but that wasn’t a lot of support for the middle of the package which looked like a delivery driver used it as a seat cushion. LOL First time I tried them. Don’t know if I’d recommend them over the usual sellers I’ve dealt with but it was a good price and delivered fairly quickly. If they are about to go rogue, then I squeaked ahead of the final act.

 

I have now no news for 10 days and I always hope to be well advised not to have to pay customs duties! The sale is still reliable on eBay, it has just received positive feedback.

 

I know, he got me the green hornet in just a few days, haven't open him yet because I'm waiting a bit, but I can't wait.

 

Just recieved my G1 Superion Reissue from wenqiang201688. Actually it ended up being a small yellow taped polystyrene box with a food sachet. Ah well, another claim through ebay.

 

I'm still trying to get my money back, ebay are making me return the object, so frigging pointless!

 

If there is no update in 3 or 4 more days you may want to file a claim with Paypal.

 

Call paypal first then call ebay if paypal falls through.

 

Always go through Paypal, unless you used a different payment method.

 

Must be a new trend but I'm seeing a bunch of "reasonably priced for the current market" sellers but have double digit feedback. The other catches being they charge for shipping ($20 up to $40) with no rhyme or reason and all the other items for sale are several hundred dollars. I can't wrap my head around it.

Especially since the one I am looking at has stock photos in the ad but was willing to send photos of the sealed box.
