Just got mine in today and it's somewhat a disappointing TT release for me. My copy seem to have a good amount of paint chip and over-spray(the head has a huge bubble of paint). It is also extremely loose on the entire half. I feel like he should be around 40-50 dollars. He compares to MP Tracks in term of doing well as a stand in for the character and having no need to replace but could be done better with tabs and ratchet for certain parts.

Oook, transformed my first BB (BB1?) and had a bit of a play around with him.

    Paint

I’ve got a few minor paint blemishes here and there, but nothing that bothers me - reporting for the record. ;)

    Joints

All completely adequate on my first copy. The hips and shoulders are tight to the point that they engage the hip-skirt assembly and secondary shoulder hinges, respectively, with minor movements. I’m thinking they may loosen up over time.

It’s no doubt intended for the hip-skirts, so they get out of the way, but I find myself having to tidy things up while/after posing etc, even if it’s just for small changes.

The waist is loose, but nothing hateful for me. This brings me to my next point...

    Articulation

I'm 90% satisfied, with the exception of his waist, not because of the looseness, but because of how it’s restricted. Of course this should should come as no surprise if you’ve followed this thread for some time.

It can be worked around (slightly) by disengaging the car kibble tucked into his lower back, but it’s certainly not an elegant solution - and will probably add fuel to the backpack fire for some heheh.

I like my BB, and he’s going to look superb amidst his buddies on my shelves.

Quick and nasty pics, just for the hell of it:

Spotted hiding out in the living room...a bit of “S2 Child’s Play” inspiration:

Mine came in today, and the first thing I noticed was a ridiculous amount of overspray on the front hood. I've never seen an official figure with such a terrible paint job. Sure, chipping happens, but this is borderline negligent. Then I started transforming him and realized his heel pin wasn't configured correctly. His foot literally fell off the moment I split the bumper. I can still kind of plug it in, but I'm overall I'm pretty pissed. (Side note: Does anyone know how to fix a loose pin?)

The transformation wasn't bad but the tolerances are simply awful. Super loose thighs and shoulders that are so tight I feel like I'm gonna break something whenever I move his arms down. To me, this feels more like a KO than an official figure—especially an official figure that costs 100+.

I've been finding myself more and more disappointed with the MP line, which is a shame because the figures look great. There's just no way I can justify the price anymore. Really hoping Hound turns out to be a home run.

I am so glad that I passed on this one! Had a chance to check out a friend's Bee 2.0 this afternoon and I'm honestly baffled by the positive reviews on this thread. His has two areas with bubbles/blemishes in the paint. The entire lower half is such a floppy mess that it can barely hold anything but a basic pose. The backpack and feet are inexcusably slippy and lazy. The torso is not meaningfully secured and the overall feel is more cheap knockoff than premium collectible toy. If I didn't know this was an official TT release, I would have assumed it was a low dollar KO! I pity any human with proportions like these. If MP-10 had gorilla arms, Bee 2.0 has malformed stubs.

My most recent purchase was JiangXing's Winged Dragon from Show.Z and for $80-100 more than this tiny, fragile, insubstantial feeling thing, you get a beautifully painted, massively solid, absolutely huge showstopper of a figure. If you bought this and you're happy with it, good for you and congratulations. For anyone that didn't preorder who finds his or herself on the fence - find someone that has this thing in hand and ask to handle it before you plunk down the full MSRP. Yikes!

My buddy's copy hasn't fallen apart (at the time of posting), but he has similar paint issues. It blows my mind to see glowing reviews in this thread. There must be some extreme variance in build quality and fit/finish, if those reviews are to be believed. Clearly, an upper echelon product at an upper echelon price! :D

All I have to say is...SUNSHINE POWER!!

    IMG_20191127_223203598.jpg

Just kidding, I'll have more to say, but for now I must leave my Bumblebee behind for the next four days of vacation. I pretty much love him as much as I thought I would, and am blown away as ever by the transformation despite watching multiple videos over the past months. I've got some little areas I may need to file down as others have mentioned and the hips are sliiiightly loose, but it's honestly nothing worse than average for the rest of my MP collection. I kinda made peace with that stuff when MP-10's finger popped off within five minutes of opening him and his hip joint couldn't support the weight of his leg. Be back with more next week!

Just had my first transformation back to car mode.
Gotta say, wasn't bad at all. Super intuitive and clicks in place just fine.

And no, I'm not always super positive and glowing with my reviews....Blackarachnia was a living nightmare.

Anyway, Bee is everything I could ask for in a MP.

Mine arrived from AMJ today. As others mentioned it's double taped. The QC on mine is crap. I have two of the same face and quite a few large scratches on the paint that came that way out of the package. Also the waist has practically no resistance, to the point where I can flick it and it will do a full revolution no problem.

Were there just two distinct factories on this guy? Lol i feel like half the reviews are “this is crap” and half are “articulation is a little restricted but otherwise love him”.

I want the line to go out with a bang as soon as possible so i dont need to see cranky collectors floor the new upcoming figures with complain and insults.
    If that make sense. Lol

MP-45 Bumblebee continues the tradition of justifying the existence of 3rd party.

I would ask for feet that fold up properly, a better backpack and tighter waist rotation at the very least.
