Neither Death will scale well with Flames Starsaber as their Starsaber is only 21cm while I believe Ismenios is somewhere between 24 n 25 and Zef is 26. They've each got a few heads of height over the figure.

Unless you're happy with a Death being a good bit taller than a Star of course. But the aesthetics of a non-transforming mostly metallic high end action figure vs a transforming mostly standard plastic material toy among many other details etc are quite radically different too.

While Ricks right, we have no Star in development atm I can't imagine we won't at some point when/if the right circumstance comes along. Seems people are dying for mmc to make a toy of him and have been for years.

 

Yeah, cause it’s a whole different line. It’s like calling out rescue bots cause they’re cheaper, they don’t scale with anything, or they’re simple transformations.

Like it’s cool if you don’t like it but there’s no reason to simply talk about how it does something different when that doesn’t change how you collect.

Whichever Star Saber you choose, I recommend you stay on brand to that company’s Deathsaurus. Planet X are the only one with both right now. So if you do want both go with them. If you’ve got time to hold out then see which ones interest you and if you think the second companion figure will be on a similar level.

 

Thanks, I'm personally fine with Deathsaurus being a bit taller than Star Saber, the 26cm you quoted for Set are less than I thought from the pictures next to Carnifex, so it might work.

Sadly, the two Star Saber I have are from Takara and Flame, and neither of them seem to have any Deathsaurus in the working for the foreseeable future.

 

I believe d-zef will go great with planet x version of star saber, there is not a big difference in height, I believe its 26cm d-zef and 24cm kadmos. and while both companies have different aesthetic styles I believe them being idw style will compliment each other.

 

I hope you get your Deathsaurus one day. I think XTB might get to their own version for the MPs some day.

Thanks bud, also reason I went with planet x saber is you never know if mmc will do a saber and even if they do it will take 2-4 years to produce after being announced. Heck i preorder d-zef with a release date of April-2019 and while I didn't expect it to be ready then I didn't thing it would take this long there saying it will be March 2020 until we even see anything about it let alone receive it.​

 

It was actually confirmed that MMC has a Star Saber In then works, it was noted in the comment section of a Chtomedome/TFCon livestream on YouTube

Fairly certain @Paik4Life meant Star Convoy in the YT comment. I find it really hard to believe that MMC has a test shot for Star Saber already made that some of the team don't even know about, and even harder to believe that MMC would ship that secret test shot halfway across the world to Paik and not have it displayed at the con.

 

Also why would they do a new Star Saber when they’ve been pretty chill in terms of not competing with Takara.

I guess to add to the discussion, does a IDW Star Convoy even exist? It would seem odd to comment on an IDW design if Star Convoy doesn't have one.

 

I still wanna believe that there is a Reformatted Star Saber. I don’t think Paik would lie if he had it in his hands. I don’t know why Daimchoc mentioned it, cause if this was all just his accident it’d be easily sorted.
