Ya I think “MP” can be pretty subjective. I mean, I have legends size figures that I consider to be “Masterpiece” versions of the characters. PB is the definitive “MP” of Powermaster Prime as far as I’m concerned.  

 

Only the collector can decide what properly fits in his collection. Subjecting yourself to the opinion of the masses is a fool's challenge.

 

It's no Masterpiece by my definition. It takes too many liberties with the animation model. But if it's a good toy, and having a love for Masterforce as I do, its unusual choices are not dealbreakers for me.

It'll go on the Masterforce shelf and look quite nice there.

I'd been following this, since I'm a fan of what Fans Hobby has put out (especially Double Evil, and I don't even care about Overlord). Wasn't sure I'd pull the trigger, given the departures from the source material, but for $60 I'll roll the dice.

Have no (real) interest in Minerva, but the figure does look good.

It is a bit big at 17 cm. In fiction Minerva was about the same size as Wheeljack, but this figure will be quite a bit larger. And truth be told, she wouldn't go with my MP collection and the collection she should go with, is scaled smaller. So pretty as she looks, I'm likely going to pass.

 

That's what Minerva's supposed to look like, is it? Creepy featureless football shaped lump with eyes and mouth drawn unconvincingly on top and a weirdly masculine block chin where her neck should be? Zoom in on that nightmare down there and then tell me that's what Minerva looks like.

I always hated the goatee, though. I get the robot existed before Minerva was connected to it, and that's why it's there. But I always wanted a version without the goatee. I might see if anyone who bought FH's Godbomber that doesn't want the Minerva head it comes with (I think it does, all three? And it's the same head as this one?) Would sell at a good price. Make a custom face for my collection.

 

could be though of as a chinstrap armor, not a goatee if that make its better. lol

 

As a small thing, I do wish she had a bit more of the asymmetric Nightbeat chestplate, with the little sculpted box on the left side and room for the Autobot symbol on the right. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but that's always been kind of a unique design element for both of those characters.

 

That's what minerva looks like.... not much more i can say that wasn't pictured already.

 

Price sure is decent. I dunno if I "need" a Minerva. Maybe.
