Man I can’t make up my mind. Had Disco Devvy preordered but cancelled cause it didn’t seem perfect. Now I have the Perfect preordered and even it’s not perfect. Also have the cel shaded reserved from Show Z but who knows when that will drop and what QC/parts replacement might be like. Also looking at Old Weathered Green.
Help me decide!

 

Hmm. I personally would not do the cell shaded. The dirty green is just what a construction type of vehicle should be. Dirty and realistic. And it will fit in well with my dirty yellow version. Yay!!! And it’s a lot less compared to the cell. The cell version is almost two constructors. Well almost. Just too much IMHO. As for the perfect versus the bling version, the trade off would be QC. We still have yet to see how much improvement the perfect edition has over previous versions. I like the bling version with the cool looking bling bling barrel. All a matter of taste. Go with your gut. It’s your money so spend it towards something you will be happy with. Good luck bro

 

How do you know OG is a lot less? No one has a final price up yet do they? I know showz doesn't.

 

Does anyone know if this new version has fixes for some of the QC issues the early version had?

Watching Emgo’s review of the original, he mentioned the leg connection on scrapper being insanely tight and the ratchet in the arm couldn’t hold his arm and gun out straight.

 

The Scrapper Leg connection was an issue with the first run bots bought separately, and was fixed with the first boxed set release. All the sets after that one had the fix, I believe. I don't know about the arm ratchet issue though.

 

It’ difficult to guess what the price for the Old Green will be. Here’s the list of prices that you can find in the ToyWorld store in comparison with the prices at Show Z:

Old Green: CNY 4000 = USD 570 --> USD ??? at Show Z

Cell Shaded: CNY 4000 = USD 570 --> USD 720 at Show Z

Perfect X: CNY 2680 = USD 380 --> $470 at Show Z

Purple: CNY 3580 = USD 500 --> USD 500 at Show Z

Dirty Yellow: CNY 3580 = USD 500 --> USD 450 at Show Z

Dark: CNY 2300 = USD 330 --> USD 460 at Show Z

As you can see there are models with the same price that change at Show Z.

 

Well that just supports the guess that the OG will be close to if not the same as the Cel Shaded. The poster I quoted said it will be a lot less.

 

Everything could be. Someone said that every green set is more expensive than any other, but it’s not true.

The weathering work on Old Green is very elaborated so an higher price (I hope not so high) would be justified.

However, the Dirty Yellow costed less than other non-painted models, so there is really no way to understand how they set the final prices.

 

Nah, my P set had the same problem. I was only able to get one side of Scrapper's tabs connected.

 

Doh! Disregard that part. I would think it would fall more in line with their current pricing and that the cell color would be a tad more. A guess.

Why are folks against the Cel Shaded Devvy? It’s the only one with purple windows! Looks pretty awesome to me. Was just curious.

 

A lot of collectors desire uniform collections and since cel-shaded figures don’t match the rest of the figures they seem to have a very adverse emotional reaction to them rather than simply be indifferent to it the same as any product they don’t have an interest in, like tampons. Or perhaps that the problems, they actually need a tampon.

You got a point... who knows when it'll stop? It starts with constructor, and everything is good for a while, but now your other combiners don't match. Soon your shelling out for Zeta toys stuff. Things escalate further, you fork out for Unicron, but even that won't be enough. You need bigger and bigger stuff. Next thing you know your penniless, homeless and desperately trying to weld a Ford Fiesta to a transit van and call it Menasor.

Combiners... Just say NO!

 

@Dodgy Dan hey now, there's nothing wrong with a Ford Fiesta...but the Festiva was just sex on wheels, lol.

 

I just spotted this new limited edition release. It says it has mold improvements. Has anything leaked about what parts were altered or improved?
