Anyone use their Takara Shockwave Decepticon logos on Sovereign? I’m curious if it works. What are you all using? I’m having difficulty deciding which Decepticon logo to use.

His back 'spike' or 'tail' whatever its called, it arrived upright in the box. Pull it away from him slightly to angle it down. That will give the side back tabs the room they need to tab into the middle grey piece.

I hear what you're saying regarding Prime. I loved it as a kid because I love Prime, but I can also see the argument for keeping him dead. I did like Rodimus and enjoyed the idea of him struggling to believe in himself.

That being said, I did really enjoy the episode regardless of the resurrection. The hate plague turning everyone against one another was awesome. Seeing the loyal Ultra Magnus obsessively looking for Rodimus Prime, Galvatron almost getting his karma by having his troops band together to kick the shit out of him... forcing him to join with the Autobots. Fun stuff.

Rebirth on the other hand, I loved it as a kid and I love the character designs, mostly. But as a story, it seems very flawed to me.

The headmasters for example, dont actually add anything to the forces. When in head mode, they may as well not exist. When they're in bot mode, the transformer is forced to go into alt mode. How useful is that in a fight?

Maybe for the animal cons, but otherwise...

And targetmasters... the only way to be in botmode is to disarm the transformer. Pretty useless again. Headmasters at leadt are awesome as toys even if it doesnt work well as a logical fiction, but targetmaster toys have always been lacking, even in MP.

I would have liked to have seen more episodes with these guys, mainly because the ending seems abrubt, but I'm honestly relieved we didnt go into action masters and pretenders.

Me too! Sorry last thing about it and I'll be quite, I loved the voice acting and manic script on Return! "I hate them Gregory! I hate them all!!" "I'm a pepper, wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?" and the combiners were so cool (apart from Computron)

Talking about flawed, if a complaint can be called flawed that's what yours is.
It seems that you are questioning the writing of the cartoon only when it suits you.

How useful are gigantic combiners when you can disable them with a well-aimed shot?
How useful is being able to transform when doing so gives your enemies the perfect opportunity to shoot you?

When Headmasters are in alt mode the Nebulans have their own weapons to fight with, I thought the Rebirth made that very clear.

What's also perfectly clear is that you continue to deny yourself a great piece of TF fiction through stubborn prejudice.

The Rebirth as well as the Headmasters, Targetmasters, Powermasters and Pretenders were really great.

I get that your sensibilities are making you turn a blind eye to the flaws of Return... While throwing flawed criticism at Rebirth. But I think if you give Rebirth a chance you will have a great experience.

Woah, calm down. Stubborn prejudice? You touched on it yourself, people have different sensibilities. Some people have an issue with mass shifting, and thats fine either way. I did say, it seems flawed 'to me'.

How useful is a gigantic combiner? Very. It tore down the walls of Autobot city despite recieving direct hits from missiles. One well placed shot has taken them apart in some episodes, I say thats a flaw with that scenario, not combiners in general.

How useful is transforming? Well seekers can reach higher speeds in alt mode and rain down hell as jet fighters. Autobot cars can reach higher speeds and get to places quicker, maybe even build momentum for an attack similar to Jazz vs Skywarp in the og intro. Microscope, Dinos etc all have uses.

Headmasters... it was fun but, I just didnt get why not just give the nebulons exo suits? Why have it so that they have to be heads the entire time the bot is in bot mode?

Same for targetmasters. Why disarm the bot so that a little bot can fight?

I mean its cool and the toys were/are awesome. But I just thought as a new type of bot, it seemed like a step back. It created a hinderence in my eyes. Remember they were stuck as vehicles and unarmed the moment the nebulons decided to do their own thing.

But hey, its G1. Most of it is flawed in one way another. But thats just how I feel concerning Return vs Rebirth. I'm not saying Rebirth is flawed and the rest isnt. And I dont feel I'm missing out concerning action masters and pretenders as they just dont appeal to me. The toys, the fiction... just doesnt appeal.

But when you say I'm ignoring the flaws of Return, what flaws do you mean? As an episode, I found it just created some interesting scenarios like the ones I mentioned. It didnt introduce any long lasting ideas or characters like Rebirth did. If you have a problem with Optimus returning, I understand and acknowledge that, but otherwise, I dont know whats flawed about it other than a standard episode.

Agreed. Sold mine too, the shimmer is too much where I can’t appreciate the blurrple It’s like galvatron at the disco.

This release is for the flippers and it’s a sad trend for the fandom. Never supporting this kind of releases again.

There is very little, if any, money to be made flipping something after it was just released. Most of the high prices on eBay barely cover the eBay/PayPal fees and shipping costs. Anyone who purchased this at retail to either flip, or just didn't like the figure, might make $10-$20 at best trying to resell it now. More than likely, they'll just break even.

The only real way to make more than that would be to sit on this for six months to a year, or even longer than that. Even then, the seller might come away with $50-$80 in profit but, that's not really a good investment in the long run. I can buy lots other things on eBay that I can double my profit on and flip immediately after purchase. Waiting for months to get my money back just is not a very profitable strategy.

Agabyss > Hasbro > Hasbro Dry Rub Logo Decals
these are what I use, some people have trouble with them but I never have, just give yourself enough of the clear backing so you can anchor that down before you touch the decal itself onto the figure so you can make sure everything is centered how you want, using tweezers helps significantly.
just cut out the decal, peal off the paper backing, line it up where you want it and press it on, I usually use my thumb and rub over the decal for a bit, then peal off the clear backing, rub again a little to make sure the decal didn't come up anywhere and you're done.
takes longer to write it out than to actually do it.

I think the ppl in China would disagree. Retail Arbitrage is a thing. If they can buy in china and sell for $225 (buyer pays shipping) they are making out pretty good. I'd say they're making about $50+ on each figure. Keep in mind they have 100+ to sell. I dont think the US retailers had many of this figure.

US retailers usually get more of any given FT product in the beginning. Chinese sellers also face additional restrictions such as only being allowed to ship later, etc, etc.
