Touché, however that chest piece still uses that hinge to come down like the original. I don’t recall the original having that hip skirt.

It is a great mold however it is showing its age these days but I feel this figure should have been an inspired by rather than a copy and paste upscale

People keep saying that like it’s a fact. I think it’s more inspired by the old mold with obvious engineering improvements. But we won’t know for sure until we see transformation videos and up close photography.

They’ve directly said that it’s a direct upscale. However, you are correct that we don’t know if they’ve tweaked anything. I believe it was mentioned about an added ankle tilt.

Eh, I feel the proportions of the Siege one match the Sunbow cartoon more. The torso on this one is too long and blocky.

I think folks misinterpreted those statements, and are now taking those misinterpretations as gospel. It's clearly heavily inspired by the classics figure, and looks like it transforms very similarly, but they didn't just take the 2006 mold, stretch it out, and call it a day.
This is proven by looking at it. Some major differences include: null rays are now single pieces, not launchers, extra sections in the upper arms (with bicep swivel), and feet are different, folding down instead of up for transformation (and appear to have ankle tilt).
Looking over the sculpted details, while similar (it's supposed to be the same character after all), virtually every detail appears to be at least slightly different (if not substantially different) between the two.

I don't think you appreciate the entity of the problem.

Which problem? If you're referring to the joke with the Classics package art, that wasn't what I was commenting on. Only problem I see there is people not getting the joke.

You'd have to be blind or dumb as hell to thing this is just an upscaled classics Seeker mold. Having similar design elements or transformation and being a retool or upscale are very different things. It's clearly a totally new design/mold regardless of the homages to an older design.
