Yep, just use their support ticket system and explain what happened. I included pictures but not sure if necessary.
Thanks a lot. And what happens next? They send me a part and I replace it myself? What kind of ticket should I submit, such as product damaged? (Sorry, this must have been answered here but I might have just missed some posts)
Ah yissss, the production 1/55 ended up better but it's cool to see what 1 of the initial prototypes looked like back in the early 80's: ASURADA 30 on Instagram: “1️⃣9️⃣8️⃣2️⃣ year Takatoku - Valkyrie. In 1982 year, I was a kid and I had not enough money to buy Valkyrie. I felt a jealous when I saw…” The benefit being that it's reason enough for Bandai to make another batch which will ultimately prove fruitful for those who want the DX Hikaru 1S and aren't too miffed about the backwards modex numbers. IIRC that was the whole reason the DX YF-29 Alto was reissued the 3rd time I think.
Over in Japan.... The DX VF-1s Hikaru is sold out upon release date. From MW DX VF-1 via Gwyn Campbell's twitter page. However MW's member Lolicon (in Japan) managed to snag one at Akiba for 17,980 yen (sans tax after showing his passport to the cashier). * Note: His actual pic and also found other Macross goodies as well * Edit: There is a 3rd party seller that is shipping it out and fulfilled by Amazon Jp (Hobby Shop Toyshizu). Currently is 29k yen based on my shipping to Canada.
I don’t remember what kind of ticket but just choose one that makes the most sense to you. It’s likely just a filter but the content of your message should be most important. If they still have parts to send you, they will ask you to pay shipping and what they send are two complete legs with the proper feet attached and instruction sheet on how to replace. It is possible to just replace the feet if you want but the screws to remove and replace the feet are trickier to get to than replacing the whole leg. Honestly, it’s such a trivial difference, I’m barely bothered enough to make the switch myself but I’m glad to have extra legs with the right parts in case I ever feel like doing it.
Do you guys think Bandai will release Roy's DX 1s with or without the super parts? Not interested in the Hikkie 1s but am wondering if I should go ahead and get the strike parts now in anticipation of Roy.
That's assuming if you're able to secure a Roy VF-1s, or willing to pay a significant markup for it. Hikaru VF-1s was a challenge to obtain at MSRP, Roy's will not be any easier...
Base on whats included with the Strike/super parts set. The VF-1S Roy will not come with supper parts.
This whole situation with the VF-1S just stinks. Even with the hope of somebody snagging at a decent price in AJ is out of the window. I've checked those prices and it has stayed above 26K. Somehow though people are bidding on YJA for up to 25K per piece. I think the only way to pull back the selling price of what's available out there at this time is for people to refrain from purchasing it at the current price. Of course, easier said than done. Or Bandai can announce another batch will be produced. No need to give a specific date for now. I think just an announcement will rein the price in. This reminds me of the recent PO for the Gundam Wing Snow White. Intial PO sold out within minutes and scalpers hit YJA immediately. Bandai put up another PO round in less than 24 hours and stayed open for more than 12 hours I think. I'm sure that killed a lot of purchases for those scalpers.
Given the wider and more prolonged availability of GX-71, the Max VF-1A, and seemingly GX-88, I was hoping Bandai was stepping up production deal with this problem. Staggering preorders in tandem with increased production is an interesting solution to the scalping problem. Maybe demand for Hikkies just swamps whatever extra units they decide to make, but I’m gonna wait and see how it plays out. Then again, I missed out on the preorder so I don’t really have much choice.
I sincerely hope we get another Max VF-1A situation in the coming weeks where everyone who wanted one for retail price, could easily get one.
I think it'll be released without. Never know with Bandai and this specific DX line though. I wouldn't put it past them to make a TV VF-1S Roy Super Valkyrie with both Roy and Hikaru figures included. While selling the DYRL? movie Roy VF-1S sans strike/super parts. I think it's going to happen depending on how widespread the misprinted "100" model number is on 1 side. Also I did notice that orders reopened more a few days ago when this was released compared to the DX VF-1A Max on release. I wasn't able to order Max until 2 weeks or more after it was initially released. Won't hurt to bookmark the order pages and check often. That's how I landed my Max.
So, do you think this run of VF-1S becomes a variant with the "100"? I wonder if the rest of the Vermilion/Skull squad has the same issue on the one vertical stabilizer? I'm only seeing an angle in pics that shows the correct one because the strike parts are on them. 魂ネイション TAMASHII NATION 2019【アニメロボット系】 | イベント | 魂ネイションズ イベントギャラリー
The misprint is another non-issue to me. Anybody staring at the figure worrying about that, I feel bad for you but I can't imagine it even phasing me. If it means a reissue that is easier for me to get, great! As for reissues in general, this DX 1/48 line isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Being the bread and butter of Macross, I foresee many various releases and reissues.
This is supposed to be my Marvel only case but until I can get it all ready, some Macross and other Japanese figures will enjoy the space.
SHMA. Super Mechagodzilla TWE release from a couple years ago and OG Mechagodzilla released last year. I need to dig out my Poster Version and Kiryu.
Never noticed it on my 1J/1A. However it's not just the vertical stabilizer, a ventral fin on Hachakka's sample also has the 100 misprint. That's an easy swap if Bandai offers it but the vertical stabilizer would be harder to get to.
