But it's really cool to see how tall the figure is, I did not expect it to be taller than Bumblebee Optimus.

A big take away is that the toy is actually a complete new mold, only taking minor inspiration from MP-10 rather than the hypothesized amalgam of SIEGE Optimus and SS38 Optimus.

The 5MM peg being molded into the palm and thumb of the toy is also really smart. I was worried the figure was gonna have the same grip issues that CW Ultra Magnus did.

It's also neat that the command center can attach to Optimus and is molded to collapse and look like the jetpack from G1!

By far the best G1 Optimus Prime figure we have ever gotten outside of MP'S! The Transformation is amazing but not over the top, the bot mode is pure perfection and the perfect mix of MP, Siege and SS-38. Hasbro have nailed a perfect modern G1 Optimus Prime at a price that won't kill wallets. This figure is a must have for every fan out there.

 

The implication is there.

 

They straight up reused the lower legs from siege prime, to reduce the part count they gutted the transformation and installed those filler parts.

So what you're actually seeing are the remnants of the legs original purpose.

 

Kinda hard to shut up when one moment it's grey hands with yellow eyes, then blue hands with yellow eyes, then blue hands with blue eyes, then it pulls an entire 180 and goes back to grey hands and yellow eyes, Wouldn't you be annoyed if something kept changing with every image

Glad the hands are blue, hope the head can be taken apart without an act of God. Blue eyes on the blue face looks awful.

Ok, with Phamduc, the random Instagram pics, and Tonton all separately showing the hands and codpiece as painted blue, I think we can all safely assume it's not some earlier version and is in fact the final figure. I am SO grateful. So so so so so grateful. He's basically perfect. I could've done with the yellow eyes, but blue's fine too.

Now the only thing it needs is the middle pelvis rectangle to be yellow and to have the yellow arrow decal on the forearms, which Reprolabels will likely fix easily.

 

Even so surely they should reflect whats in the box

"Likes everything" doesn't translate into "buys everything" because even if someone "likes everything" reality means they can't "afford everything."

Example: I didn't buy Unicron. Not because I didn't like it, but because I don't have $600 to spend on a single Transformer. Especially when I already committed to the Seacons and want to make sure I've got some reserves if Project: Raiden turns out be another updated combiner.

I mean, if going on "deep discount" was a sign these figures weren't selling well enough to justify their existence then the Titan class would've died years ago because Plex went into a pretty hefty holiday clearance at Costco and a lot of people got Devy for under $100.

do the renders on barricades box reflect what is in the box? nope. does the render on the phantomstrike pack for fracas match what is in the box? nope, in fact the colors are inverted. incorrect colors on packaging renders are nothing new and they are part of the reason products are typically tagged "contents may vary". hell we already know the renders are wrong because they show blue inner thighs, yet every in hand sample has had grey thighs

 

So, about the grey on Optimus Prime’s legs...

 

Yeah. I want this. It will be bought on sight. Also, any other Earthrise figures that come with the ramp-shields will be purchased so I can attach ER OP's trailer to Omega Supreme's base mode!

Why do I have the funny feeling that this will be out before the end of the year? It seems with all of the last waves of Siege stuff out now, ER OP might show up the week before or the week of X-mas. I do hope so. It would be nice to get it before the stores start holding all of their new freight until they finish inventory and do resets in February.
