I just got my Tri-Dasher last night. I'll admit, he's my first official big mech as my two Diabattles are KOs. BUT, I do have a Battle Buffalo coming soon. Anyway, I'm absolutely loving Tri-Dasher. I like the smaller size on him. He has nice, tight joints and there's no hollow bits like what have been plaguing Transformers. Articulation is surprisingly good, even with the limitations caused by his transformation in the arms and the slightly truncated thighs. The toy has a pretty good heft to it, considering there isn't any die cast. I also really like his vehicle mode. It's compact and solid. My one and only complaint is that I wish it came with a second Bullet Core. Without a second, splitting him into two vehicles is pretty pointless. I can't wait for Tri-Jetter and Driller.
Battle Buffalo added to my Pile of Loot at BBTS! Hopefully I can make a few more sales in the next few days and add a couple more things before the urge to ship overwhelms me.
I want a second battle buffalo because his legs are so robosexy. Does Tri series have any of the same limb connections as the BattleB and Dbattle? For instance, as far as I can tell... BattleB, Bigpowered, Dbattle/cosmo. Arm limbs interchange with sliding mechanism. BattleB, Diabattle/cosmo. Legs interchange. As far as short thighs on Tridasher... all the large mechs have had these proportions, I believe the designs are unforgiving and alienating intentionally (in a a good way).
Got one of my Warudaraider Raptor sets in today. I don't have my Waruder Suits yet but this set is very fun, there's a lot you can do with just this set by itself so I'm really looking forward to getting my Waruder Suits in! I'll be posting a lot of pictures when I get all my stuff in and maybe a proper English review of this stuff. I've had a hard time actually finding any detailed write ups and videos of Diaclone stuff in English. Lazy Aza is about the only one I've found for English video reviews. Here's something I came up with using all the parts from the Raptor set, sorry about my dusty shelf.
I don't think there's any interchangeable limbs between them. Dasher is quite a bit smaller than than Dianattles. It's like comparing a Voyager class to a Leader class.
Hobby Japan pages, more on that new mix up set. [不斷更新] HOBBY JAPAN 2019年12月號: 玩具及模型商品最新情報 | Taghobby.com
Interesting, but I have a few questions 1. Is it based on anything from the original line? 2. How big is it? 3. Ythink they're going to show off anything else 4. How much? Just things to dwell on
No. About the same size as Tri-dasher in its full vehicle mode by the looks of it. No idea. I'm guessing about the same cost as a Trivers set.
Yup, those are the parts I wanted. Well now, is this supposed to be the fourth triverse or something else.... Just noticed this mech suit looks to become a chest unit for the diabattle series but he appears to have arm limb connectors where maybe he can be used as a Tri series chest without the backpack.
I hope you can swap the core/heads and footplates of tri-dasher DA40 and DA44 you can correct the color schemes of both models. The shadow dasher will be absent of blue, similar to big powered destroyer and battle buffalo. As a plus you can separate most of the red from the DA40.
Doesn't look like the fourth Trivers mech, that seems to be some kind of giant bike. :s The suit that comes with this new set can replace the bullet modules of the Trivers mechs, these are the pages from last months hobby Japan
Looks like the front and rear vehicle components of the fourth tri-verse (tri-wheeler?) are swapped being that the front of the vehicle becomes the legs of the robot mode. This should liven up the combinations a bit.
*edit. Found it. Battle Buffalo came with the shorter pegs. Im having a horrid time finding where this piece came from. The piece with the longer peg and the round hole is from the Gyrocopter set or the Dartloader set. but the piece with the shorter peg and the long going down the side, and the hexagonal hole is a mystery. What did it come with???
I got a chance to play with my Warudaraider Raptor set today, it's a lot of fun. Here's some pics I took today.
