I don't own the previous CBB sets but these feel very light. Maybe flimsy isn't the correct word but the plastic quality is noticeably of a lower quality than Hasbro. Many of the joints are very loose and things don't peg in all that well. There's a few mold changes (the chestplate on Bruticus is missing some tabs) but what are you gonna do.

Okay, yeah... that sounds pretty similar to the CBB Protectobots I had. Thanks.

I think in another thread (about the downsized, G2-colors Devastator KO) I saw an all-red Defensor. Anyone know anything about that?

Yeah, that's among the KOs I was talking about. It's just the CBB set in goofy colors.

Oh man, I love it and I want it! CBB is pretty good quality, right? Annnnnd not upsized either, is it? Just normal size? I think I need to buy this, it can be my Guard City.

I am going argue with you RyanCharlie. Clearly you have made up your mind and will constantly be a prick about your opinion on it. You could just state that you dont agree, but you have to throw insults in with it.

SMOG, yes the red defensor is a KO for sure and is below par. I couldn't get most parts to close well and the joints were loose. They still look great, but that is it.
Unlike what RC did for me I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he got some bad skittles or I got some good ones, but mine tab in perfectly. The skittles dont feel flimsy at all, all the joints are tight as hell, maybe a little too tight, but for me thats terrific.

I am not telling anyone to buy these, I was just sharing my excitement over finally having some new CW blood.

Okay cool, I'm not sure I'd be able to decipher your sentences with grammar like that.

Yes, the CBB CW sets are all normal size, and should be compatible with official CW stuff. On overall quality, the consensus seems to be that they are a bit worse than official grade, but are still close enough to be acceptable considering the reasonable price.

My experience with the CBB Defensor set is that I could tell it was a KO, and decided not to use it to replace my officials (even though I did like the Takara deco). Also, it's good to be VERY careful with the unfolding ladder/chest armour for Defensor. The tiny hinge pegs broke very easily on one of mine (though admittedly, I was attempting to pop the armour off the hinge, so I was subjecting it to more-than-normal strain). It does indicate the plastic is more brittle though. Based on what I've heard a few places, the Defensor set might be a bit worse than the others.

Also, inconsistency is a common issue with KO Transformers, so one person may get a bad batch, while someone else get a set that holds up just fine.

Yep, you got me. Enjoy your day.

That sucks, I really want to buy a second round of the skittles, but I dont want the quality to be that of the red defensor. I will still buy them, but I pray the quality remains the same.

You mean, entirely grammatically-correct sentences are hard to decipher? Even syntactically, it's rather blunt. :lol

There's always some risk. On the bright side, most of the time, they don't cost very much. :thumb

Anybody got the studio series Devy KObots yet? Design-wise i came around about not getting them, but I'm still kind of curious about the plastic quality.

I don’t know if this is been brought up already but I noticed that yellow Superion has Galvatronus’s chest instead.so no chest upgrade for him. But I have the perfect head to put on. Can’t wait. Ship Paul! Ship!!!

I believe it was noted on the first wave of CBB KOs that they were a mashup of the mold variations. Like some of Onslaught's unique parts were missing. I mentioned the Bruticus chest plate does not tab in as they used Hot Spot's shoulders.

That's weird my yellow superion has superion's chest.
Wonder if there are variations out there?

I only have the Rampage KO so far the quality is excellent. He has some minor differences like screws instead of pins, a couple of missing tampos and some parts have changed colour between grey and black. But the plastic is terrific and the joints are all good - one very small issue was his torso joint was so tight it wouldn't move so I had to loosen the screw to unlock it.

Superion has two versions of packaging one in the gift set and one in the individual packet - perhaps that makes a difference to which chest it has ?

A few questions - How well do these 'Skittles' Deluxes (particularly blue Blast-Off) work as limbs with official Hasbro Voyager torsos? (Skittles Blast-Off does have that G1 Scourge-ish deco. So I'm thinking, four 'reformatted' Sweeps + Cyclonus = Galvatronus? )

Also, about 'Red Defensor' Protectobots, do they work well as individual robots?

I understand they have flaws, but I'm not thinking about getting most of the Skittles KOs for the combined modes, but as individual figures. Just about all my official CW/UW TFs are in combined mode, but I don't want to get doubles of those, so I'm thinking cheap recolours may do as standalones.

Do you mind sharing a pic for us? All the ones I've seen were the superior chest, so I'm super curious about it!
