Yeah, Doom and Gloom has always been an ongoing thing. I remember back in 1999 everyone was saying Futurama would be the death of The Simpsons and look where we are 20 years later. Now we have people saying the Marvel Legends line is ending. Oh, and that Up was going to be the end of Pixar, then it was Cars 2, Attack of the Clones was the end of Star Wars, then it was The Last Jedi, and so on.
People like to be first in the line when it comes to "predicting" doom. Always has been that way. Positively speaking: I ended actively watching Power Rangers in the middle of SPD. Ive being buying all the figures to support the line, however, I see certain appealing in some of the recent rangers, BM red and Dino Charge red, even if I dont know the characters background. The figures itself is so good on both, a very nice representation of an human being that is not on steroids or is not coming from a comic book.
If I had the money and room, I would probably get every figure, but I don't sadly, so I do have to be somewhat picky.
Let’s be honest, the Simpsons basically died 20 years ago. They haven’t been interesting or relevant in forever. Just the same aging audience that keeps watching because they don’t know how to use the remote.
So... Drakkon as one per case was a huge mistake. Been to multiple Targets that are now clogged with BM Blues and no Drakkon to be found. It sucks even worse considering the paint in this line tends to be pretty hit or miss, so it could turn out the one time I actually might find him the paint might be a complete mess.
I have the feeling that, like Lord Zedd, there will probably be "fan channel" solid casepacks of Drakkon in the future.
PCS Collectibles on Instagram: “Power Rangers @sideshowcollectibles Go Go Power Rangers! #sideshowcollectibles #PCS #PCSTOYS #POPCULTURE #SHOCK #TOYS #COLLECTIBLES…”
yeah, I found MMPR red and BM Blue but no sign of the shorties from that case...still have a set on preorder just in case I don't find them locally but I knew it would be difficult with that ratio I actually don't see as many Devons as I used to, but that doesn't mean packing any figure 3 per case is a good idea, even if it is a character from the currently running season...
Got super lucky today and found a pretty nicely painted Drakkon and MMPR Red at Target. Looking forward to more comic-original figures beyond Drakkon and Ranger Slayer.
Have you tried checking a Gamestop or two? I went to one about 3 weeks ago and saw about 5 or 6 MMPR Pinks.
Yea that's a bullshit case pack just like Zedd x 1 in the 1st wave. Around here, Tommy only recently started to get scarce. Should be even case packs, 2 figures each.
I've seen pink at retail recently. Was about to get her, but clerk pointed out she has split crack on right boot. Rats!
If you still have the receipt, care to share the dcpi’s so we could give brickseek a shot (or have customer service reps use that to search on their handhelds)? Thanks While not perfect, GameStop’s site is pretty decent at identifying locations that have specific figures. Here’s where you can select zip code to search for the lightning pink: https://www.gamestop.com/toys-colle...g-collection-pink-ranger-figure/11048824.html If you’re actually in a GS store, they can check their systems’ inventories to find which locations (I think within a 100 mile radius) have the figures you’re looking for and print the results on a receipt that contains phone #, address and count of stock (so you could call ahead). Presumably they’ll have a sale for Black Friday, whether action figures and/or some $5 bag for a % discount will be a part of that sale isn’t known as of now.
I take it back I did find one Pink at Walgreens now that I think about it...the first one I got was from Pulse and had a black spot on her nose...had to search for what seemed like the longest time to get one at retail with a good Kim head
