    My take is Cybertron is not a 'normal' planet. Also possible there's some kind of space tech or something that is holding the bits there...

    Of course ultimately it probably comes down to rule of cool :D

    I would have liked to have seen a local pointed out on the map for the Ark's hiding spot since that was what the videos leading up to it was all about.

    There are 33 character codes. All of the codes in the post you quoted have been confirmed to work on the site.
    Even the decoder website says 33:

    (There is also a bonus 34th code, RUBBLE, that unlocks a preview of the IDW Transformers comic series)
