Transformed mine last night, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. It wasn't that difficult and nothing was totally stuck. The hardest part was moving the knee ratchets.

The alt mode though...not great based on the complexity of the transformation. It's odd that it takes that much work to transform him into a brick that's vaguely the right shape.

Not a big deal, I'll transform him back to bot mode and that's how he'll spend the rest of his time with me.

Anyone want to post pictures of the new version in alt mode? Thanks in advance!

Just paid for Sovereign from my Pile of Loot. Now waiting for BBTS to ship it. I was like you in contemplating canceling it from BBTS and going with TFS yesterday.

He looks great in hand. The odd thing is how the finish changes so much under different lights. Under my living room light, he doesnt look that different a colour to my blue custom, but under my bedroom light (where I took these pictures) he looks a lot more purple.

I was thinking of painting my custom one the marvel colours once this one arrived, but I've decided to keep him as is. One for the movie shelf and one for the S3/headmasters shelf. Now I just have to decide which goes where.

Can someone who has this and the og please confirm their faces are the same colour? This one looks a bit greyer to me than the og one, which was completely white. Maybe I'm going crazy.

There's no true black in the image. It's a common problem with Japanese films on DVD and Blu-ray. Arrow's Lady Snowblood films were affected and Shout also released a number of discs with the problem, including Roadhouse if memory serves. If you can adjust your player to output limited RGB it restores the image to the correct levels.

The review I wrote for the BD used to have before and after comparison caps, but unfortunately they're not available since DVDActive shut down...

Received mine today. I like it more than the original, but I have two issues: a shoulder screw cover was in the box loose, I put it back and it looks like it is holding up, and when I move one arm up and down it also disconnects the entire shoulder and the torso piece under it, the other arm is fine. I’m wondering if something is not tabbed properly...

Both of mine were like that out of the box. Just push the shoulder joint higher into the grey shoulder pylon and it should clip in tightly.

Anyone else find the back piece exceedingly difficult to connect in the back? It’s truly annoying. Beautiful toy but that fiddly back part makes it not all that fun to play with.

We often write that the pictures don't do certain figures justice - he already looks damn good in pictures, but it's a whole new ball game on the shelf.
    He's absolutely beautiful.

If you're having the problem I think you are, you need to pull top back piece away from his head so its at an angle instead of upright, in order to clip the other parts in.

I received my FT-16M today. Boy, I thought the DX-9 Tyrant was good enough. I am so wrong. This thing is a beauty. No comparison. What do you think?

On it's own Tyrant looks decent but side by side with Sovereign it's no contest. However I feel that Tyrant's arm cannon is better proportioned especially the grey bit at the back of the orange bit.

    Sovereign's arm cannon looks ridiculous.
