The figure in general is probably going to be twice as tall as the original SS one.

I mean to be fair, we recently got MPM Lockdown, Hot Rod, Soundwave, and AOE Optimus, SS TLK WWII Bots, and a Deluxe of a certain somebody who's never gotten a proper toy since 2011...

I for one love the look of this guy. Sure he is a bit skinny, but the design is still really solid and he looks really clean and posable in a way the other 2 long hauls out there are not

I agree that he's not stocky enough but still,

I admit that it's strange that they changed the alt mode. Also, let's not all forget that when it comes to movie 3P stuff that these companies have to go off of concept art and movie clips, not ILM files which is the only reason SS exist as it does. For people comparing these figures to the ROTF figures, that's a fair comparison, and one that shows 3P vs Hasbro when relying on the same sources to make figures.

If 3P figures were somehow more accurate to an SS figure then Hasbro would need to have a serious conversation with their designers. While it's fine to compare it to recent versions of Hasbro's figures I think that we should still consider the circumstances where these figures come from since there's a difference to making movie figures from scratch and using Hasbro figures as a base.

What about those of us who want 3rd party figures because they're generally far superior to HasTak figures?

This seems to be a very myopic argument based on the idea that 3rd party should only exist to compliment official figures.

I bought SS Long Haul and he looks great. Smash is the superior toy though.

Yeah, they've totally lost me at this point. The only thing this long haul has over Hasbro's is the size and the combined mode accuracy. They might be competitive with Hasbro's Mixmaster and Overload, but Long Haul is quite possibly the most accurate SS toy to date. In robot mode, he is literally a flawless rendition of the movie design... and he also isn't using the damn dump truck mode that didn't make it past concept art.

I think this is the first time bot and alt mode have been sacrificed for a combiner leg mode.

Overload is not in the movie, outside of his vehicle mode that briefly appears during the Devastator combination sequence. He only exists in concept art, and had no CG model created for his separate robot form.
