Agreed. I was pretty impressed with Incineroar as well. The sculpted fur detail really stood out. We've come a long way from Smash Link's pee-colored stand. I definitely agree that the $16 price point is hard to swallow. For many, $13 was bad enough once it started adding up. And it's not like they charged more to offer a higher quality figure or increase quality control, at least not across the board.
It's a Christmas miracle, the Shovel Knight 3-pack is finally out! I was at a GameStop last night & my jaw dropped when I saw it there! It's been, what, two years (more?) since the trailer announcement & THERE IT WAS. Unfortunately, I'd just bought a bunch of stuff at Target & didn't really have the extra $35 to spend on myself, but HEY IT'S FINALLY AVAILABLE.
Got the 3-pack along with gold shovel Knight last week myself. A good looking bunch of amiibos. Especially considering they were made by Just Toys inc. One gripe though, I wish the King Knight's armor wasn't so bright yellow and had at least a golden tint to it.
Wow, this thread has been inactive for a while. Anyone here acquired the reissues of Bowser and Bowser Jr.? Or looking forward to Banjo & Kazooie, Byleth, and Terry?
I've skipped the Bowser/Jr reissues since I already have the originals and those are just the same. I do have Banjo, Terry and Byleth on pre-order though. I also picked up the Cat Mario and Peach amiibo that release a couple weeks ago. Can't say I like their look that much, but eh. I buy them all, so I had to have them.
Picked up Bowser and Bowser Jr since I missed out on the first release, I've been working on building the Smash Bros roster in Amiibo form so its helpful when Nintendo does this. I still need to place a preorder for Byleth, Terry, and Banjo somewhere either Amazon or GameStop. Still pissed its not female Byleth, there is no female Byleth merchandise which disappoints me.
Didn't hear about the Banjo and Kazooie amiibos. That surprises me. Wonder if it means there's a chance we will get Switch ports of the OG games.
Fortunately, the initial bottleneck of delayed shipping in Loftwing cleared up. I snagged one at Target for the normal price. I only hope the Samus / E.M.M.I. two-pack experiences similarly good stock. Meanwhile, Ridley and Dark Samus are each getting reprints soon.
