I don't think Disney needs to be buying anything else...leastwise until they can prove they can make it work without having to involve Feige and/or Favreau.

 

Those are C-Listers at worst. Hook, Line, and Sinker are X-Listers at best.

 

Blitzwing--yes, since he also appeared in Animated (different appearance, but his name should still be in people's memories).

Brawn---probably also yes because there's the RotF's toys.

Note that I only go by the name, not appearance (since live action tends to differs A LOT)

 

Yeah, why not indeed? You should email Disney, email Hasbro, tell both of them that Bumblebee was like a Disney/MCU movie, introduce them to each other, and I'm sure that will be that. Disney will absolutely be like "huh, yeah, it dooooes feel like a movie we would make... so we should totally buy Hasbro now!", and of course Hasbro will most certainly be like "this random dude on the internet makes a good point, so yeah, HELL YEAH, let's just sell our entire multibillion dollar publicly traded global corporation to Disney... because we made A movie that he thought felt was too Disney-ish".

Bumblebee had heart- something a lot of Disney movies are lacking.

 

Barricade, Blackout and Jolt seem like lesser known ones too.

Not everyone watched Animated or even buys toys of non-movie characters.

And I’m a guy who enjoys Animated.

 

I know, but some people will have known Blitzwing from Animated, at least the name. What I mean is, he is not that obscure of a character as opposed to say... Rung? To non comic book reader.

 

Bumblebee didn’t feel like a Disney film at all. It was only lighter in tone. Also Hasbro is fine right now. I don’t think they need to be sold to Disney.

 

So if a show or film uses a name or character, then people will have known it.

I'll repeat my question. Have you seen some of the best fan-made movies? Some of the people involved in creating those incredible stories certainly could contribute in making a great movie.

 

Those are barely characters in the movies, or anywhere else. Those are three of the most generic names in the franchise that get used if someone even looks at Hasbro funny. Not sure what your point is.

Not specifically with Transformers, no, BUT what I said still stands.

I mean, this straight up HAPPENED with Bumblebee, because there we had Knight making it very clear in the home-building stage of film promotion that he had been a die hard fan of the original 80s series. And what he delivered was a very serviceable story that was Transformers BUT also was restrained enough to still be palatable to the general public. The film also went it's own way with the villains, as both Shatter and Dropkick are great but defy the typical limits the franchise imposes on triple changers. The film gets to be it's own thing as opposed to straight G1 rehash which some people accuse it of being simply because you can actually easily identify what vehicles to robots turn into by only seeing their robot mode.

I disagree with that if only because Barricade and Blackout pretty much are now established legacy characters based on their movie portrayals, which in of itself is not a bad thing. Sure, they're barely characters at all beyond "evil cop car" and "big helicopter bruiser" but the former got a Generations figure while the latter was in Animated. But they originate from the films so people don't know them in the way he's implying, given Barricade was previously a minor Micromaster and a characterless Energon combiner torso, while the latter was a micromaster and then Armada Demolishor's characterless minicon.
