that's not in scale, that's not even close, but hey it's your opinion and your collection btw here's the scale and Metal Beast isn't just bigger it's actually MP per their creators that have said they're making Masterpiece BW figures, where as PE has never once said their figures are Masterpiece. It never fails to tickle my funny bone to how we the fandom decide that something is MP just bcuz it's big.....so is everything Hastakomy put out that's voyager.....MP? what about Leadersize? why is it that 3rd Party can't just make Leader size CHUG or is there no such thing as Leader size CHUG? thank you
Hmmm, been a while since I messed with my 3P CHUG's since Siege has kept me so busy, but my standing list has been the following... #1) Maketoys MTCD Striker Manus #2) Maketoys MTCD Rioter Despotron #3) MMC Carnifex #4) MMC Terminus Hexatron #5-10) Fansproject Dinobots (not the fembots though) For a while, I was buying 3P CHUG right and left, but HasTak have really stepped up their game and are consistantly checking off boxes for my collection. I still am considering getting MMC Magna Inventa and Maketoys MTCD Galvatron and Rodimus Prime. HasTak really are giving 3P a run for their money and I couldn't be happier. Personally I think they should focus on their own unique takes on classic characters (such as the MTCD line), IDW, Beast Wars and perhaps the Unicron Trilogy to stay out of HasTak's focus. MMC and Maketoys definitely have the right idea.
While I'm glad your happy with hastak honestly I don't see what you are seeing, while i agree they have made good strides with paint and making the toys only half hollow instead of completely hollow. They are way to small now look at a pic with soundwave are starscream who are voyagers next to 30th springer are brainstorm and they look like deluxe next to those voyagers.
I can understand your point of view, but if you compare them to Classics, they are around the same size. HasTak are going with a more consistent scaling, and I think they work. The new figures are better articulated, better painted, and less hollow with G1 cartoon accurate bot modes, and the ports for combining with the new Weaponizers adds a lot of fun. I don't necessarily play with them, but I do like to pose and transform them frequently, something less enjoyable with the more complicated and often more fragile 3P figures. I have a goal to complete the full Sunbow cartoon cast, and I am surprisingly close. Having said that, official figures are cheaper, and are now worth it even more, and the scaling down actually works better once you get a decent amount of the Siege figures together. Siege Jetfire also blows any 3P non-MP one out of the water too. 30th Springer and Brainstorm have both had more recent updates that are more G1 accurate. Those 2 go on my IDW/Wreckers shelf now, and that works fine as that is what they were intended to be. Apples to oranges to me my friend. TL;DR WFC Siege along with the Prime Wars Trilogy is filling in the gaps of my collection nicely, scales well together, and needs littly from 3P to fill the gaps nowadays. Siege has really upped the envelope, with the next line, Earthrise, looking to carry on in quality, and I cannot be more ecstatic. Like I said before, let 3P focus on the non-G1 cast and original takes on classic characters, and let HasTak give us GeeWunners our updates and everyone stays happy. Side note: I actually have kept my MMC Feral Rex and UT Ordin in with my CHUG collection (I don't sell off figures that have been replaced, they just go in storage) as they are vastly superior to the POTP Predaking and Abominus. Abominus was done decently, but Titan Predaking was the real abomination, and I cannot believe they released those figures with the individual bot and alt modes looking so bad!

1. planet x vulcun (grimlock)- it has the best alt mode of any transformer I've had. 2. striker manus KO- just a really fun figure to pose. his joints are somewhat inconsistent but overall very enjoyable. 3. carnifex- is it mp or chug? I dont really care 'cause it's a fun figure overall. It has one of the best face sculpts I've seen. 4. siege jetfire- jetfire with gigapower's aesthetics. 5. Generations Springer 30th year- definitely a fun toy. I wish he had finger articulation and that gap in his upper torso still bugs me.
Hmmm... MMC Overlord MMC Tarn MMC Predacons FP Broadside TW Throttlebots (especially Rollbar) MT Tailgate FP Insecticons MMC Sky Lynx MT Technobots UT Terrorcons PE Fort/Brave Max I don't have it yet, but PlX Star Saber looks really nice.
