Does it not make sense to you that their Megatron is meant to scale with their prime instead of the WJ BA prime?

There is a reason the WJ Megatron is scaled the way it is cause it was meant to complement the BA OP.

And contrary to popular believe, the WJ Megatron has the accurate paintjob. Megatron is meant to be gun metal ish in the first movie.

 

It is really 1cm taller? From the looks of it, the BMB version seems to be 2cm taller at the minimal. This is based on some previous preview pics where the BMB Megatron dwarves even their BMB OP.

Feeling that it "makes sense" doesn't mean that you're right. I'm talking about looking at size charts, measuring figures, and comparing them to the size and scale of other figures.

There's entire threads dedicated to this discussion, at least skim-read them before dismissing someone who's actually decently knowledgeable on the subject.

Finally I bought the Aoyi LS12 version, and I'm gonna do the same I done to the LS06.

Megatron is 35’ in the movie. Prime is 28’.

1/30 is the general agreed upon correct scale for the MPM line. At 1/30 scale, movie prime will be at 28.5cm. BA OP is about 28cm to 29cm tall depending on how you pose the hips and the neck.

For megs, 1/30 scale puts him at 35.5cm. WJ Megs is 35cm. One can argue he is still half a centimeter shorter but the BMB one is 37cm according to spec. That makes him 1.5cm over the proper height at 1/30 scale!

And when you upscale the BMB Meg to actual size using the same ratio, that puts him at 36.5’. Which is a foot and a half over the correct movie height.

Maybe you are the one who should be hanging out in those threads cause I sure did my in depth research.

what did you use, and how did you remove the original wj thunder leader head to replace it with the bmb head. I am having trouble removing the original I am afraid to break the hing. not sure how to remove the pin.

 

Except, mpm scale (based off mpm03) is not 1:30, it's 1 to 29.34

It would be perfect if they will release an "upgrade kit" so that you can have both OP without buying two of them!! I don't think it would be that difficult, I already saw some customers printing and painting abs to add to tue figure...

 

Was able to do the head light alt transformation with my chest mod. The lights dont sit as nice as they do without my mod, but it works dor me, and gets them off the abswhich helps the look even more. For me, what my figure really needs now is a new damn head. This mpm mold is too thin, and lacks detail that the size of the version needs. Anyone know of a head that could work with this body? I keep seeing 3D printed heads, but not sure if they are meant for this prime or for other non transforming primes. Also if anyone does make a new head, the whole neck has to be redesigned so that he had a ball joint. I think swappable faces is the way to go, the rotating face gimmick is clever, but in terms of an action figure, the axis of rotation for the neck to look up is way to far back and gives off an ugly gap

 

Black Apple actually fixed the neck split in the early prototype, idk why they undid that.

 

I'm not sure if this is recent but ShowZ now have this listed as in stock and available to buy now as opposed to pre-order, for those still looking.

CapcomKai on Instagram posted a really great looking 3D printed head which is for a non transforming figure, but a few weeks back he did a poll asking if people wanted it for other figures and I think a version for this Prime came out on top, so fingers crossed it happens.
